Location 4/5
Remote location on the outskirts of Bordeaux. Lovely views over the river. The chateau is served well by Uber - approx 25 mins and 25 Euro from Château to airport or Bordeaux city centre.

Quality 5/5
Large, beautifully furnished boutique rooms with modern bathroom and fixings.
The communal lounge was the perfect spot to enjoy a game of chess with glass of wine and charcuterie board. Limited food menu but perfect for what we wanted.

Value for Money 5/5
Decent value for high quality received. The hotel is run with minimal staff who seem to multitask between reception, waiter and chef! Fantastic service if you’re prepared to wait a few moments and added to the charm of the venue.

Perfect start for our three week tour of France Italy and Switzerland. All staff members couldn’t have been more helpful. Bathroom was amazing, and fixtures and fittings in the room are of a very high standard. Perfect base to explore the region, and only a short drive to downtown Bordeaux. Keep up the good work!

A fabulous Châteaux!!

The service and accommodations were first class. Maxime was extremely helpful & his recommendations were spot on. Nomade Restaurant, Labarde, France, was our favorite and a must stop for anyone in the area.

Rachel came in early to make us breakfast on our last day.

When considering a visit to Bordeaux, Châteaux Grattequina tops our list!

We stayed for two nights at Chateau Grattequina. We were upgraded to a balcony room, which was beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and had a lovely view of the river Garronde.

The reception staff multi-tasked as concierge, room service and/or breakfast service and they were really wonderful. Both were friendly and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

The Chateau itself is in lovely grounds and is close enough to Bordeaux to make it easily accessible. It is very well furnished and welcoming.

Breakfast was delicious, with a broad selection of choices. The wine ‘bar’ was a self service cabinet which worked very well and had a selection of good wines to choose from.

They do not have an evening restaurant - room service was simple but delicious. If you want to dine, you will need to drive or taxi. Taxi are expensive, as they have to come from Bordeaux, but Ubers are cheap and great service.

We would definitely recommend and happily return!

Room tip: Ask for a balcony room overlooking the river.

Having arrived for my partners Birthday, everything I had asked for was done. We had upgraded to a lovley room overlooking the river, the room was just redecorated to a wonderful standard. The bathroom was out of this world and everthing was thought of.
We had breafast on the last morning this was a little disapointing for €18 I would expect a carte menu to choose for this price.
The Chateau has the most amazing lounge room which needs a wine bar this would have made us stay and relax with the views. I know the owner has a lot of plans and going by the standard of our room i believe in time everything you wish for will be here.
I would recomend staying here it was so beautiful and perfect for exploring the local vineyards.

Room tip: Ask for a river view
