Quiet little town, beautiful beach in centre, great little cafe's. the perfect place to recharge your batteries. We stayed 5 days after 2 weeks travelling throughout italy and it was great to relax. Hopefully they never lose their charm and become over touristy. Friendly locals and close by to other towns. Must try caffe creme in cafe. We stayed early July 2013 and the weather was fantastic. Watching ships go by.

we arrive in this beach with no planing . we were going to sampieri and met it making a big curve direction sampieri. we stop and going down. the beach is beautiful, in september there was few people. there are free showers and 2 bars and free parking.
the sea is clear and was warm. beautiful.

There's really very little to do Cava D'Aglia - and that's why we liked it. We tried a few of the beaches in the area but kept coming back to the bay in the centre of the village - the water was so clean there were even fishes by the beach.

Where was everyone? :) The town was quite quiet (though I can imagine peak season to be teaming), it was out of season, so with a meal in a friendly and inexpensive then back to the quiet beach to paddle the swim in a sea that must have been around 22 deg., walk up the clean and sandy beach to sit in the sun (it was around 32 deg then so chilly as far as the locals were concerned?!) then back to the car for a drive back through Scicli to Modica).
