Lovely selection of antipasti and delicious pasta with baby clams, but I wasn't so impressed with the spatula fish (in breadcrumbs?) which was very dry. Staff were very friendly and prices reasonable. Closed on Mondays.

By far the best food, and the best atmosphere of the three restaurants we tried in Scicli. We had eight different courses over two visits and every one of them was excellent - a special mention for both the sepia spaghetti and the ravioli. The Sea Bass was twice as big and twice as nice as the offering from La Grotta. And worth a try is the Spatula fish (eats better than it looks although it is served as a fillet so you can't tell!). Staff very helpful, with good recommendations for local white wines and owner made an effort to speak with everyone. Lots of locals using the restaurant, including large family parties so clearly an indication of quality.

Great service and atmosphere, even had the time to chat with the owner after our dinner. The pizza was also very good!

Quore Matti sits just down from the lovely piazza, now famous for being the questura in Montalbano.
It opens early enough to cope with wandering foreign tourists and has some cool artwork and photos inside. The entrance transforming from a traditional trattoria into a more romantic light white space.

The menu covered pizzas and pasta. The caponata starter was pretty much perfect.

Our pizzas were average, a little too thick for my taste and slightly heavy with cheese. My partner enjoyed his more meaty pizza. Both were around €7 each and a decent size.

Service was fine. A minor point deducted for not providing any bread or dips despite being asked.
