The Trip advisor reviews got us here and it was worth the extra few euros to stay in the 'suite'.Superb small hotel, room modern, tastefully furnished, all mod cons, lovely bathroom, delightful hostess/owner, Donatella, and fabulous breakfast. Also very good value. Apart from Montalbano credentials the town is a delight, Baroque architecture, some fine streets and amazing gargoyles, churches and troglodytes. Definitely the highlight of our holiday hotels this year.

Room Tip: The suite overlooking canal, empty !

We planned our Sicily trip to the region of Ragusa and found this hotel on internet. Scicli is a small town near Modica in the Ragusa region. The hotel is very well centered in this beautifull small town. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and contained a wide variety of tipical Sicilian delicacies. The room was very modern in comparison to the baroque style of the hotel but this was a nice contrast.
Scicli is smaller than all the other cities and forms a really nice base to drive around off to other cities and the beach.

This hotel has a nice ambiance and I would definitely recommend it.

Nine should be your lucky number – especially when you stay at the Novecento in Scicli. Nine rooms in a historic Palace with a lot of atmosphere, just the right range of style and design – not too much! Just like the staff: friendly, polite and taking good care, i.e. welcomes you with refreshments, – but never pushing. The breakfast is excellent: local products, i.e. a great selection of cheese, except some fresh vegetables are missing. Novecento is a minute away from the unique and marvelous historic center, but absolutely quiet. Novecento and Scicli make you really feel being on cloud number nine.

Novecento is a peaceful haven in a quiet town. Definitely heed the warnings on how hard it is to find and don't turn down any of the tiny alleys. We asked the hotel for directions ahead of time and we still got lost (with directions from Tom Tom (that recommended the tiny alleyways) and Google). Google directions were better - turn left on Via Cristoforo Colombo and ignore any requests to turn down alleyways from your GPS. Turn right on the first major street you encounter (probably Via Valverde or Via Vasco da Gama). Then turn right on Corso Umberto 1 to Via Osperdale where you turn left and follow Senso Unico (one way) sign to the hotel which will be on your right.

Parking right at the door was wonderful. The suite was more than comfortable for our family and the breakfasts were great. Staff was very friendly even when English was limited. Would advise against this hotel for anyone with mobility issues - all the rooms are on the second floor and the only way to access them is by steps. Bar serves only drinks - no food - but you can also get large bottles of water for 2 euros.

We visited here 12 June for 3 nights, once we found the hotel it was truly superb! Please ask for specific directions when you book as GPS is a little crazy here in Sicily and you'll end up in narrow one way streets, once you know the way it's a breeze!
This boutique hotel was simply superb, we opted for the Junior Suite and so glad we did, our corner room overlooked the wee bridge and had a long balcony, plus frescoed ceilings even! The modern bathroom was superb!
The location was a perfect hopping off spot to visit Ragusa Modica and Noto, as well as the ceramic orientated town of Caltagirone and the most amazing mosaics at Villa Roama del Casale, near Piazza Armerina, and Commissario Montalbanos house in Punto Secca if you've been watching the series.
Back to this hotel, the breakfast here, without a doubt were some of the most delicious and varied we had tasted, huge slabs of wonderful cheeses, wonderful breads, fruits, ricotta and sausage 'tart', amazing, plus pestos and dips, plus...... a bowl of fresh cherries and Almond Granita with shavings of almonds on top! hard to believe you can fit in 2 further meals in the one day... Thankfully we walked lots! We highly recommend this hotel, a very special place, lovely staff, beautiful junior suite, parked at the door..... Can't ask for anymore!

What a fantastic hotel and what hospitable, service minded staff. We a family of 5 stayed for 10 days in Scilcli and enjoyed every day staying at this special hotel. This is the way to run a hotel.
I travel more than 130 days a year in the Americas south and north, Asia and Europe. This hotel was different and unique. The atmosphere is great the décor, breakfast and the coffee. Every single staff was great, helpful, polite and accommodating.
It was a memorable stay and highly recommended. A congratulate The Owner Donnatella for the great team she picked to manage this small but classy hotel.

Room Tip: Corner Suite if you are more then 2

This is a charming small boutique hotel in the lovely town of Scicli, in the less commercial south/south east of Sicily.

It is very difficult to find fault with this hidden gem of a hotel ! The bedrooms were spacious, modern, clean and well equipped, the breakfasts were plentiful and of a good quality, and most importantly all members of staff were extremely helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble for them.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Scicli, either to visit or use as a base from which to tour this lovely part of unspoiled Sicily.

Whilst the hotel restaurant was shut during our short 3 day visit, there were plenty of eating places within easy walking distance. Two worth trying are La Grotto and Tre Collis.

The only slight downside is that the hotel can be difficult to find when first arriving. One piece of advice would be to follow the signs for 'Senso Unesco', even though it gets quite narrow as you near the hotel.
