We booked a week's stay at Le Vasa three months in advance and paid one night's deposit. When we arrived, we were told that we had been doubled booked and there was no room for us. (We found out that there was a wedding on and we had been bumped for that.) The resort had my email address and could have advised me before we left Australia. They also knew the name of the resort we were staying at when we first arrived in Samoa. But we didn't hear from them. They offered to find us new accommodation (the least they could do!) and we ended up on Savaii (as Survivor was being filmed and all the resorts on Upolu were booked). We came back to Le Vasa, aftering staying on Savaii, just for dinner on our last night (which we paid full price for). The food was very good but extremely expensive. The resort has no beach really, and is on a very exposed point, so was very windy. We would not go back.
