stayed here for four days in june with a group of my girls. great location close to the beach, restaurants, bars and a millions massage houses.

first impressions down a little side street a bit dubious but staff were great from the start couldnt have been more helpful or friendly. the rooms were really nice, clean, air con, fridge internet worked really well in both rooms which they put across from each other so we could all be on the same floor - which was a nice touch.
the hotel sells really cheap water, soft drinks, beers etc so although theres no water in the room its only 10 baht!!!

loved the location near the beach, close to plenty of restaurants and even if you wanted to go a little further afield its super cheap in the pick up truck type taxis that are around. loads of really good cheapish massage places around the corner.

overall would cetainly recommend this place if you want to be near the action but get a decent relaxing holiday and sleep.

Room Tip: if you smoke request a balcony room which are near the front otherwise its a lot of walking up and down steep steps

We only booked this guesthouse a few days before as we were travelling through Thailand. It is great value for money and really clean. The rooms were cleaned every day (something you rarely see in asia). The staff were amazing, really helpful with any enquiry we had. It felt more like staying with a family member than in a guesthouse, whenever you left they would ask where you were going and give you tips and the place and tell you to be safe. They genuinely were the nicest people ever. The location is great, right across the road from the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are better for smokers

The rooms are clean, the place feels familiar and Dave, Penzy and Anna will be happy to welcome you in their guesthouse. The place is well located, in a small street next to Chaweng (very touristic area though), it's very quiet but you'll be in the action after a 5/10 minutes walk.
For sure I'll come back if I have to go to Samui again, thank you !

This is a very good hostel with cheap rooms, friendly english speaking staff and a good location 5 minutes from the beach, and relatively close to the centre of town. Most things are walkable from here or you can get a taxi for a pretty good price. Overall a very nice experience and we would stay here again if we were in the area.

Stayed here for 2 nights post a yoga retreat and I really quite enjoyed it. Accommodations are simple and basic. Bed, AC, TV, fridge, dvd player. I also had a window seat in my room (6) with a Thai triangle pillow. The room had enough room to put down my towel mat and do some yoga without knocking into the bed or otherwise. There was also a small balcony from what I could see, but I didn't go out to explore it and it really was quite small, as in one person standing on it would feel cramped small.

The wifi was very weak in this room, and my guess on the top floor in general, but was strong down in the lobby area. The guesthouse is a little off the main street, and while I walked down to the more known area of Chaweng, I found that the area right around the guesthouse provided almost all of the amenities I wanted such as restaurants, beach, spas etc. The location, at least IMHO, would only become an issue if you plan on spending a lot of your time eating at restaurants, or doing stuff that would keep you on the other side of Chaweng. You will find everything you need right around the guesthouse as long as you're not picky. The only thing I would fault the location for, and it's not the guest house's fault, is that one of the ways to walk to the beach is walking through an empty lot off the main road which was just a bit sketchy.

Penzy and David are very helpful with arranging things, and helped me arrange a tour at the very last minute when there had been an unfortunate mix-up regarding dates with another tour operator. They also arranged an early morning transfer to the airport for me as I was on the first flight out of Samui and back to Bangkok.

Breakfast is not provided but there are other places nearby. The clientele seemed to be mostly younger folks when I was there; however, it would fine for a family, couple, friends etc. as long as there is not that much luggage. The stairs are a little steep and there is no elevator. Not a problem when only traveling with a backpack though!

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor will have very weak wifi connection. If it is important for you, ask for a room on the lower floor if possible. In general though you probably can't go wrong with any room.
