Great view, nicest staff, great bungalo with outdoor jacuzi. You'll need a motorcicle to get aroud but its totally worth it. Tje villas are two bedrooms with an amazing deck. Great pool and really nice food

Chaweng Bay View Resort had some things going for it, but others not so much.
The good- Bungalow was really nice looking, with separate room with jacuzzi.
The resort was away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng Beach and the main road. If repetitive, thumping bass is not your thing, this is a good place to be. When you do want to see the action, beware the cab and sorng-taa-ou drivers. Extortion doesn't begin to describe it.
The breakfast was excellent. Every day made to order. The view from the breakfast area/pool was amazing as well.
The bad- The jacuzzi in our bungalow did not actually work. We arrived and it was 1/2 full, but we could not get the water level to where it would be useful.
The hill! When you check in you are taken to your room in a pickup truck, but from there you are on your own. The staff get around on motorcycles while you hike up the steep incline to your room.
We had an incident where we returned to our room to find the front door locked, but the side door to the jacuzzi which allows you into the room was left wide open. Housekeeping probably just forgot, but leaving a room wide open was an issue.
We won't return to Samui, but if we did we would look elsewhere.

We stayed here on our honeymoon! It was super romantic as we had our own bungalow with our own spa which was filled with rose petals.. Agghhh so nice. On the down side breakfast is limited to say the least, no buffet here! The hotel is about 30 min walk to the action of chaweng, no so far but in the heat it's a challenge. Also no direct access to the beach which is what samui is all about. My husband and I like to get amongst the action so we found this hotel is a bit out of the way. But if you are looking for a secluded, slice of samui where you can stare into each others eyes and do little else this place might be for you.

we have stayed there for 9nights and we absolutely loved it!! room were huge, with big bathroom, room service very good and cleanliness spotless!! towelss were changed evryday, fresh and smelling very nice. Our friend gave his cloths for laundry and it came back clean and smell nice for few days! even after wearing it. .. hotel was full, however we didnt felt that, as lots of people were going around island, so we have seen eachother only in breakfast time. Sometimes when we have stayed by the pool, we felt like its private just for us. It was great!! and hotel looks even better than on those photos here on tripadvisor. Trustme on that!! the only down thing was hills, as you ave to go up all the time, but that on all island in Koh Samui.
Restaurant great with very good food, breakfast was huge! (definetly take option with breakfast, as will keep you going till late lunch early dinner!!). very frendly staff, very helpfull, specially Emma in Restaurant who knew exactly what each of us(5people) had for breakfast, so when some were late for breakfast we just said to her for who we want to order and she just made it!! after 9 days we were moving to Koh Phangan for full moon party, and we have asked to leave our baggage in hotel for 3 days. Staff was very helpfull, they let us leave all suitcases in reception,in one of their back rooms and dint want to charge as anything. after we came back we had 2 hours before going to airport, and as we order taxi from hotel, staff told us to use pool while we are waiting. Emma gave us frsh towels, and after when we wanted to have shower she gave us fresh soap etc. and we havent been their costumers anymore!!! service and people there were just great and very, very helpfull!!

A great resort which is close to everything in Chaweng, without paying the ridiculous prices of the main koh samui resorts. We originally booked a double and a twin room, only for them to give us 2 double rooms. However, these rooms had a wonderful view and the rooms were clean and spacious. Reception was lovely, as we organised 2 day trips and an airport transfer through there and they were very helpful. The breakfast here is epic! Pancakes, western breakfast and cereal all included and was quite nice. However, i wouldn't eat here any other time other than the breakfast - there are much better places to eat in Chaweng town centre.

The only main downside is that my friend and I had 1000 baht and $100 AUD taken from the room whilst we were off snorkelling. It was suspicious, as we had not placed the make up room sign on the door (as we didn't need it), but they came in anyway and put the sign up once they left. This was a little concerning, as we heavily suspect that someone in room service had taken it (which is our fault as well, as we did not put our small denominations in the safe)

Other than that, it was a nice hotel. THe steep hills can be a bit of a struggle in the early hours of the morning - especially if you have one of the top rooms!

Room Tip: Rooms up the top have the best view, but the longest climb!
