I stayed at the hotel during the last week in August. It is a large resort built on a slope down to the beach. My mobility is impaired and I have to use a walking stick to get about. As soon as I arrived Phatcha greeted me and immediately saw I may have some trouble getting about the resort. Phatcha must have told the staff to keep an eye on me and whenever any of the staff thought I may need help, a golf buggy would appear to take me where I wanted to go. Knowing I liked to read the morning newspaper, Phatcha would personally deliver the newspaper to me at the beach. Hotel staff in Koh Samui are generally very good but I would rate the staff at the Briza as the best I have come across in all the years I have been going to Samui. The hotel is at the quieter north end of Chaweng and is very peaceful and far enough away from Chaweng central to be insulated from the nightly parties there. I had an upstairs unit and though the stairs were a challenge, I found it to be perfect for me as if it became too hot on the beach I could take myself back to the unit for a snooze on the large day be and take advantage of the afternoon sea breeze. I very much enjoyed my week at the Briza...More
