“2nd time at this beautiful resort in Chaweng”

This hotel is really supurb. Ideal postioned on a long sandy stretch of beach. The Staff are highly trained its as if you have your own butler. Nothing is too much trouble at all. The breakfast is a small selection but will satisfy all nationalities.
We had a deluxe seafacing room above the spa nice and private with nobody walking past . The bedroom is beautiful , the bathroom had a lovely huge walk in shower, the Hair dryer fast speed compared to other hotels. Loved the sea, no rocks, plenty of food venders and clothing sellers on the beach. Walk the other way out of hotel and there in the street is all the action, pubs, clubs, scooters, cars, music shop till you drop, massage parlours and various pubs with all kinds of menus to suit your pallate.
on the weekend Bophut night market is a must by Tuk tuk 200 bht each way. Big Buddah a good sight to go to and also to shop for lovely clothing all made out of cheesecloth..Night life on beach in front of hotel is stunning, chinese lanterns, people walking with feet in the ocean as it laps the shore. At the hotel you can have massages on the beach or in their lovely spa. We had to vacate our room long before flying out and they locked our luggage away and gave me access to a room with a shower ,hairdryer and all the toiletries. There is a scale in the locker room to weigh your luggage (or yourself!) Mosquitos here so take repellent with you. ONLY Downside is NO Free WI Fi they told me next year they will have it. So just walked around with I pad and found places to have a drink and a meal with free wi fi. Bargain well below half price with the sellers. You will need to buy another small suitcase lots to bring home from Chaweng. The airport is close by so you do have planes on the hour flying low over this area, but it is not a disturbance at all at night and neither is the Ark Bar music a bit higher up on the beach where the younger set congregate. Cant fault this Hotel its ideal for your holiday. Had our washing done down the road washed and ironed for 210Bht nicely packed ready to pack in suitcase. High five to mangement and staff of this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Room above the spa nice and private.

Where to start with the excellence of this hotel. I have never posted a review of any hotel, yet it would be unfair not to reward excellence of the highest standard. The staff must be trained weekly in customer care as they see to your every need and seem to foresee your needs before you do. They take care of everything , all that is left for you to do is relax and enjoy. My only worry in posting such a good review is that when I return the hotel will be full and I will return. No doubting that. Thank you to everyone at the baan chawang

We were in a standard room. The room is correct but a little darky. I would recommend to upgrade your room if possible. Quiet room despite the location (in the middle of chaweng).
Be careful! Flights just take off over your head. Very noisy but there are not so many flights. The flights don't bother us a lot.
The swimming pool is a little bit small but ok for kids.
The beach is beautiful. Many deckchair and under the trees (much less hot than a simple beach umbrella).
Breakfast is ok with a view on the beach.
We didn't test the restaurant.

The main point is not about the hotel which was great.
BE CAREFUL ABOUT JETSKI ON THE RIGHT OF THE HOTEL (and generally all jetski!!).
We made several jetski in the past in thailand and we never had problem.
When we read about jetski problems we always thought it happened to other people but not us.
Until this trip.
My husband and my brother-in-law rented 2 jetskis. There were very old compared to the others jetskis (many scratches, no counter etc). In the middle of the sea, they switched their jetskis so the jetskis were close and touched softly. A hole appeared on one jetski (I think it was an old hole just quickly repaired because the contact was very soft). They saw the hole and called their boss. He wanted us to pay 1500Euros for the hole!!!!! He said the mechanic was damaged ((false, the hole appeared at the beginning of the trip and we made jetski for 30mins with this hole). The boss and all the jetskis guys (5) kepts an eye on us (families with children and baby) to be sure we won't escape without paying. We try to negociate but without success.
My husband stayed on the beach as a guarantee and my family moved from the beach (we were followed by one jetski guy, I think in order to see where was our hotel).
Finally we went to the touristic police and paid 600Euros...

My advice : DONT DO JETSKI
If you do, go to the touristic police, NEVER the local police. (when we called the touristic police they told us to go the local police. We avoid their advice and go directly to the touristic police office)

we stayed at the baan chaweng beach resort for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Beach is about 2minutes walk!

the resort is approx 15 mins away from the samui airport and we were provided one-way complimentary transfer from airport-resort.

The resort is located in the HEART of the chaweng beach and very very close to all the restaurants, bars, clubs, massage salons etc.

There is a 7-eleven about 5 mins walk and so many restaurants and bars to choose from.

Service at the resort is great, staff very friendly always ready to assist. Go for suit 320 if possible. It is 1 min walk to the beach and the hotel restaurant where breakfast is provided. our room was spacious with modern amenities and had a private balcony as well, bathroom was good sized.

Would definetely visit samui and stay at baan chaweng beach resort.

ONE DOWNSIDE:: i got locked out in the bathroom because there was a malfunction in the handle, took us about 15-20mins to get a technician who entered from the washroom window and de-assembled the bathroom door handle+lock.

Room Tip: Deluxe Suite for sure!

We have just returned form 9nts at this resort having not slept any of those nights even with ear plugs due to the Music from the Ark Bar which goes all night every night till 6am in the morning !! Not just a little loud ,extremely loud.... No one informed us of this and wasn't written anywhere , hence why we are letting people know, service , breakfast all great ... but doesn't make up for no sleep ... Baan Chaweng would be very suited to back packers who can pay a little more

I had a room on the upper floor, which was quite comfortable and spacious. The cleaning was immaculate and the bathroom big and had a lot of space to store stuff. The hotel lies directly at the beach and the palm trees are higher than the roof. It's in the middle of Chaweng so you can walk to the restaurants, shops and bars.
The pool is small, but ok. But who needs a pool when the water in the sea is 27°C - perfect! The breakfast was ok, they even had 3 kinds of bread (well toast white brown and wholewheat, but...) The service was very good and you can book motorcycles, dive trips directly at the reception.
