Attentive staff, good location, nice rooms. Complimentary breakfast had many choices both buffet and hot made to order items. Turn down service includes lighting of mosquito coils and a sweet treat from the restaurant. The noise from construction next door is tolerable since it stops at night and doesn't start too early. What IS annoying though is the circulating cars and the loud speakers announcing"ICE COLD SHOTS THIS SATURDAY" or "THAI BOXING TONIGHT". Overall a great stay, bring ear plugs.

Dear KymmieGibbler,
Thank you for taking the time reviewing Buri Rasa Samui.
I am very pleased that you have enjoyed your stay despite the occasional noise from the road side at certain times during the day. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control though authorities are aware of this issue since other resorts also face the same problems.
Nevertheless we would welcome the opportunity to invite you back during your next travel and I would be happy to handle your booking personally.
Wishing you best of health in the meantime and a successful 2014 from all of us.
Sincerely,
Bernd

We were a couple traveling in October to Koh Samui for the first time. We spent almost a week there.

First, the pros: Service was excellent and consistently friendly. Whether helping us book snorkeling or making other conceirge-type arrangements, the staff did a great job. The beach was well groomed and the bar service very good. The rooms were spacious and had great bathrooms. Wifi worked well too. The location was also good in that a number of restaurants with various types of food are within walking distance. It's not in the middle of the bar/nighclub district, but we were happy with that. The oddly named "Ninja Crepes" across the street is a delicious Thai place that's much more delicious than the decor might imply.

Then the cons: There was a lot of noise coming from the property immediately to the north of Buri Rasa, which is under construction. There's not anything the staff could have done about the jackhammering and other distractions, but the sounds made it hard to take a mid-afternoon nap. In the evenings the construction stopped there, but thumping bass and techno music from the property immediately to the south went until well after midnight. (We overlapped with the Full Moon so it's possible that this isn't an issue at other times of the month). Nevertheless, that made it harder to get to sleep before 1 or 2am.

Overall it was a great stay and the service was impeccable. We'd gladly return, once we're certain that the construction next door is complete.

Dear Chris and Mateya,
Thank you for taking the time posting your experience with us on Trip Advisor. I am glad that you have enjoyed your stay with us despite the noise pollution of the adjacent construction site.
As mentioned before, the completion of that project is due within a couple of months and from then on we would not expect any more disturbances.
If you ever plan to visit Koh Samui and the Buri Rasa Village again, please do contact me directly as it would be my pleasure handling your reservation personally.
Wishing you best of health for the future, I remain

We stayed at Buri Rasa for 14 nights and found the team outstanding. We have visited thailand many times and Koh Samui, the team here are the best we have ever seen. From the amazing service we received from joy in reservations we knew we had made the right hotel choice.
We arrived and they kindly stored some luggage for us whilst we visited Koh Phangnan and we greeted by a beautiful smiley receptionist who kindly took our case with no issue at all.
We arrived at the hotel early and were greeted by ice who is one of the nicest and kindest person I have ever met. Our room was almost ready, which was outstanding as it was only 10.30am! The room was spotlessly clean with an amazing view of the sea front. We booked a deluxe room with a bath and for us this was great. I have to say I was nervous when I reserved it as we usually go for more modern hotels but I loved the room. It had all the amenities that you needed and the mini bar prices were cheap!. The prices in the hotel were excellent value. The room had a large double bed, fab TV and DVD which they had a huge selection to choose from at reception so no need to go and buy them off the street.
Breakfast was fantastic selection lots to choose from. Chinese buns, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, juices, breads, homemade jams, fresh honeycomb, pastries and cakes as well as a hot food menu selection of thai and western foods. We never got bored and if it wasn't on the menu and they had the ingredients they would make it for you!
Lazy days by the pool with Tick, Chart and Arun were amazing. They helped us with our broken thai and they even gave by boyfriend some Buddhist amulets which he will treasure forever.
Ice takes the time out of her very busy day to check all guests are having a great time and remembers everyone's name.
Afternoon tea is a great treat and something different everyday. Then at lunchtime theres and extra little treat which is sometimes yummi fresh fruit ice lollies.
Housekeeping were excellent, our room was spotless all through our stay. Everyone has a huge smile for you and the gardens are very well maintained.
One thing that really stood out was towards the end of our stay we saw everyone at the hotel on the beach making sand bags to protect the wood from the sea for rainy season. Everyone helped lend a hand, a true team exercise. There was a trainee who was learning to be a chef who had the most amazing smile and good morning everyday, she was there for 3 months but I really hope she becomes a permanent member of the team.
I have to be honest reading the reviews about the noise made me nervous the construction we hardy could hear and to be honest theres construction on the whole of Chaweng so your bound to hear a little. However the noise from KC was a little disturbing, thud, thud of techno trance. It really isn't in the right location and the hotel are working with the management and thai authorities to stop the hotel disturbing others, they can only play music between 11am and 6pm and only hard trance at the weekends. To be honest towards the end of the holiday KC seemed to really turn there music down.
This is our new favourite hotel in Chaweng due to ice and her excellent team, especially Tick, Chart and Arun. Thank you for our amazing holiday and taking care of us.

Room Tip: We loved our room with the jacuzzi bath overlooking the ocean, amazing. Worth the upgrade.

Dear BullRider Gallardo,
Greetings from sunny Koh Samui in the Kingdom of Thailand.
Delighted to hear you both had a great time with us and that some of our team members went the extra mile and making your holiday a special one to remember. The construction site next to us will be completed by the end of this year since that new resort is scheduled to open early 2014 and the annoying music form our KC neighbors will hopefully slow down further.
Whenever you plan to return to Koh Samui and Buri Rasa Village, please simply send us an email as we would be delighted to handle your booking personally.
Wishing you continuous health and until we meet again,
I remain sincerely,

Buri Rasa more than met my expectations. Koh Samui is a beautiful place to spend a relaxing holiday before or after the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The beach could be quite a bit cleaner, but that didn't have a negative affect on the holiday.

The staff were all amazing, always gave big smiles and were happy to help with any requests or general queries.

When you are escorted to you room you get a real "village" feel. The main walkway goes through the centre of the complex with rooms on different levels joining via various staircases. The ground floor rooms have their own gardens with a private dipping pool. One of my travel friends stayed in such a room, the pool got no sun and appeared to be unheated so we never bothered to use it, the main pool near the bar and the sea were so close it was never needed.

Rooms were spacious with a big four poster bed that was very comfortable. Waiting on the bed was the best greeting gift I've received in a hotel, a personal message to welcome me made from twigs and an astounding elephant made from towels. Treat type food was left daily, local delicacy type food which was always enjoyed.

At the end of the complex was Buri Rasa's pool and direct access to the beach. The staff at the poolside bar were also excellent and made the best cocktails of the trip. :)

My only complaint would be the noise from an adjacent building site. Work starts at 8:00am sharp and is very loud if you're on that side of complex. Not what you want if you've had a heavy night in the Chaweng bars (which happened frequently when we were there). That wasn't the fault of Buri Rasa though so I'd feel guilty if I reduced the rating because of it.

Room Tip: Rooms further into the complex are closer to the beach.

while i booked this property for stay i was quite confident that its going to be a excellent stay because it already had ratings of more than 9.2 / 10
firstly i would really thank the staff for the excellent service they provided.me and my wife being vegetarians could not have the pancakes as it contained egg but the staff managed to prepare an eggless one for us in no time.this will be really memorable.
the rooms were fantastic. it was really different from the usual. it was themed. mine had a private dip pool to relax. nice private garden. fantastic bathroom with a completely different setup keeping the village theme in mind.
direct access to the beach as the hotel opens up to the beach.the jetski experience is a must at the samui waters as the waters are crystal clear and the jetski is a different experience all together.
it felt great to walk along the white sand beaches of koh samui and the breakfast and dinner at this hotel overlooking the blue sea felt great.
every penny spent for this hotel is great and worth it.
for me its a must stay and must recommend hotel.

We stayed here from 13th-17th October and thought it an excellent place to stay. It is a boutique hotel with 32 rooms set in a beautiful garden-like area. There is an infinitely pool which looks out on to th beach. The Buri Rasa staff are outstanding; so helpful, friendly and engaging. The food is good and it's lovely to have breakfast al fresco overlooking the beach. There is currently a hotel being completed to the left of Buri Rasa and can be a bit noisey when they star work at 0800 but the hotel is due to be finished in December and the noise was not that intrusive. There is a hotel on the right (KC beach club) which plays club music all day which may irriate some people; personally, we did not mind it and after a while tend not to notice anyway. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back.

When they invented the word 'paradise' I think they had somewhere like Koh Samui and the Buri Rasa in mind. What an amazing place to stay, everything was perfect. When we arrived we were warmly met by the reception staff and taken to our room where we had a beautiful welcome note written on our bed with twigs and an elephant made from some white towels, also waiting for us was a nice bottle of champagne. We stayed in the 1st floor deluxe room, which was very well set out, had a nice size bathroom with a semi outdoor bath nice big shower and good size vanity. The bed was a nice size but the mattress was a little small but got used to it by the end.

The resort had a nice little bar area near the pool and a great little restaurant. The beach out the front had to be the best spot along the whole beach. We walked along the beach many times checking out the other resorts and I have to say even the big expensive ones had nothing on the Buri Rasa. even the beach lounges looked more comfortable and newer than any of the others.

We read a lot of the reviews about the noise from the building site next door, but I have to say I heard a bit of hammering and sawing every now and then but nothing to bother me. The KC resort next door annoyed me a little with their music pumping out everyday but that has nothing to do with the Buri Rasa.

I have to make a special mention about the staff. They go above and beyond to make your stay as good as it can possibly be. There is nothing better than going to breakfast and having Porn, Ead, Chart, Arm and bugger I can't think of the other ladies name all with massive smiles on their faces wishing you a good morning and asking how you are. After breakfast we head for the sun lounges and before we know it Arm has towels under his arm and following us to our lounges makes sure we are comfy adjusts our chairs moves the umbrella and were are right to go.

We wanted to hire a car and drive around the island, so we asked Ice if she could tell us where to hire from, before we could say anymore she said leave it to me and tI was all done. When the staff knew we were going to drive around the island they were all there helping us out telling us where to go what to see they were so helpful.

If you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday with the most amazing staff I can not recommend any place more highly than the Buri Rasa, we will be staying there again for sure.
