Turned up to be seen to by possibly the rudest receptionist on the island, after she was done shouting at a couple next to us we were shown to our 'deluxe' room even though we had requested a beach bungalow. If that was deluxe I don't want to see the standard. Single beds and a decor straight from the 40's as well as being dirty. We went to reception to complain as we wanted the bungalow on the beach we requested. We were made to pay 3500 bht extra for the three nights even though this was already paid ?! First off she tried charging 3900 as she thought we were paying cash no doubt to pocket the 400 herself.
We then got to our 'beach bungalow' where the front door didn't lock and the door had dropped with a 100mm gap at the top and the shower dribbled out.
After complaining the maintenance guy came out and said he couldn't do anything. We asked to change room and were told no look for another hotel if you don't like it!
Locations decent but other issues included serving left over dinner for breakfast (spaghetti carbonara!), the canal that goes through the middle of the resort resembles a sewage line, power cuts, wild dogs outside the rooms begging for food, wifi is horrendous you'll be lucky to get on, we took the key off the fob to keep the air con going when we were out the receptionist spotted this and used a pair of pliers to make sure we couldn't separate the two, the footpaths are lethal, beach towels are dirty and quite clearly none of the staff care for their customers.
If you like quality customer service and value for money then stay well away.
