Very nice ,the Natian is in the quiet north end of Chaweng, not far from restaurants shops and bars,it was nice to stroll down the main road of a evening, stop to have a meal and drink. The beach is not the best, but the pool was nice,a bit on small side and ok.The rooms were lovely, big and very very clean, beds towells changed every day,and a fab smell in rooms .The hotel was very quiet only ten rooms were full,so breakfast was not lade out you had to tell them and it would be made for you ,we didnt have to wait long.
The staff in reseption were lovely, only ask for something June would do her best for you.Just outside the Montian travel shop is very good ,you can tell him what trip you want ,he will get you a good price.Massage on the beach was great,200 bht 1 hr,the ladies are so nice, just sit and have a chat ,thay love it.The gardens are kept lovely, they work from morning till night to keep it looking its best ,and there is always a good morning to be said.Wishing the staff at Natian all the best ,thank you for a lovely holiday .

We booked Samui Natien for 3 nights during our recent Samui trip & at the end of it I have to say that this place has fallen way below our expectations.......

Resort is right at the beach but this stretch is not really the best part of Chaweng. Room was very basic & to our surprise, they didn't even have safe in the room - forget wifi n all. Room & bathrooms were not really spacious, even though they were clean & tidy........ Breakfast served wasn't too elaborate, quite basic.....& staff around restaurant not very friendly.

I don't think this place is even 3 star property & not really worth the money we paid to stay here. I saw some nicer places close by & would recommend people to go with better alternatives. Best part of this resort was the very friendly tour operator just outside & accessibility of restaurants & spas close by....

We stayed in the front largest room for 2 weeks in 09 & 2 weeks in may 2010. My experience may be a little old but just joined trip advisor so thought i would add it.

Rooms very neat but decor a little dated. However the resorts around this on the north end of chewang beach were far more expensive so we were happy to have less fancy furniture as a trade off to be away from backpackers and still within our budget.

Staff lovely on both stays.

Restaurant average at best but just 2 minutes away from great eateries.

Easy to walk to night shopping but far enough away to not hear it.

Garden very tropical and well maintained.

No issues with lack of hot water and mini fridge got cold enough.

Pool small but in non peak definately big enough and has a shallow paddle pool at one end our 2 year old loved.

Planning on staying for a 3rd time in jan 2012.

No hassel getting a taxi out the front at any time.

This hotel is pretty standard from what we saw of other hotels on the main drag in Chaweng but has the advantage of not being in the thick of things and is therefore quiet at night. Room was fine, spacious, some English TV channels, and a balcony.

Most of the staff we encountered had poor English which was sometimes a challenge but they were all pretty good natured so no major problems. The internet is expensive at 150 baht/hour but I used the much cheaper internet at the travel agency adjacent to the hotel, Montien Travel. The guy working here is very friendly and helpful and we rented mopeds from there and would recommend it for that.

The beach in front of the hotel was nice, enough loungers to go round, massages and kayak hire available a few steps away. There’s a small island nearby which is fun to kayak out to.

Liked this hotel for the location, quiet but very close to the bars and restaurants..

Whilst we expected Koh Samui to be touristy, we were frankly disappointed by the tatty beach and murky seas - all very unappealing (especially the broken glass and bottle tops in the sand).
However the Samui Natien was nice and in particular Pim and June in Reception were kindness itself. We were able to check in early in the morning, and they were always happy to help.
We had one big problem when the shower blew up and caught fire whilst I was in it - absolutely terrifying but straight away we were moved to the best room in the resort.
I have to say the breakfast was dire, hence we never tried any other meals there.

My boyfriend and I are travelling for 10 weeks but wanted a bit of luxuary but at an reasonable price and I can't say we were disappointed. On arrival we were given a cold drink and cold cloth, really smiley reception staff. Breakfast was OK for a breakfast in Asia, they cook your eggs fresh. The hotel was very clean and so was the pool and beach area. This hotel is in a great location as it is in the quiet part but only 5 mins walk away from all the bars, shops and resturants. Although there was a family here I would not say it was geared towards children just because there was not any entertainment. Great fro a relaxing place to stay and really good value. We stayed for 5 nights but only had to pay for 4 nights. There were lot's of places to eat out so we did not eat in the hotel much other than lunch which was average.

We arrived on the island Koh Samui just after a major storm system had moved through. Our overnight stay was extended to 3 days because bad weather. We could not leave. The evening of our arrival power to the island was cut off. The resort went on emergency power. The resort staff went beyond the call of duty to assure our comfort. "grace under extreme pressure" The resort is clean and simple. great breakfast buffet and delighful evening meals.
We were so impressed with the resort under the circumstances, we rebooked an overnight before our flight home. A delightful quaint resort.

Room Tip: Book a Superior Villa. Great Thai food.
