“Good Greek Food at Great Prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

We stayed at Poppies hotel at the southern end of the Chaweng Beach Road for 8 days in the middle of March.
As this was our first trip to Thailand we decided to eat out a lot to try the local food, but also wanted the occasional European meal and had therefore listed a few restaurants along the beach road that we wanted to try.
One of these was a Greek restaurant, the Olive Tree, which we saw on Tripadvisor and was only a couple of hundred yards away, down a side street at the main entrance to the Mercure Hotel.
We were certainly not disappointed as we had a great meal including starters, mains, a carafe of wine (the best we had during our stay) and a couple of ouzos to finish up with for THB980.
The main menu is limited to around half a dozen dishes, but was authentic and well cooked. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and the chef/owner came out and asked if everything was OK and chatted for a while.
He certainly deserves to do well as it's a great little restaurant and it is one that we would certainly go back to as a pleasant change of diet during a 3-week Thai holiday.
If you like Greek food and are staying in that area you should give it a go!

“Tasty and authentic Greek food in Chaweng”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

Warmly welcomed by the Greek owner and enjoyed delicious food for reasonable prices. Definitely worth a try if you've had one too many curries in a row. Highly recommend the zucchini and tomato balls and the pita with dips (hummus, tzatziki and olive tapenade). The prawn saganaki was tasty but I'm not a big fan of when they give the whole prawn and you have to get messy and tear their little heads off. My boyfriend quite enjoyed his chicken gyros and the fries it came with.

“Greek treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014 via mobile

We were staying in a hostel next door to this restaurant so went out of convenience. There were 10 of us and the chef/owner coped brilliantly with the size of our group. The food was really tasty and filling. And the complimentary ouzo and limoncello was a hit! I would definitely recommend trying his place.
