Visited for our honeymoon recently and the hotel and staff couldn't be more incredible. Room was clean and towels refreshed everyday with smiley and friendly staff anywhere you went. The pool a great size for the hotel and only steps away from the beach and shopping arcades. Great if you want a peaceful holiday with the choice to visit different bars within a maximum of 10 minutes (or less for closer places) walking.
One great perk was international sockets for those (like my wife) who needs more than one socket at a time :)
Don't normally stay at the same hotel twice but would definitely visit again if we go back to Koh Samui

The hotel is overall quite nice, however the reception staff where not the friendliest in Thailand, it was also quite annoying that you have no access to the wifi until the 14h checkin time, even though we arrived at 12 and had lunch at the hotel while waiting for our rooms.
Rooms are modern and clean a bit small, not much cupboard space.

Sawadee Krab JoVoyager,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay at the OZO Chaweng Samui. I am disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations about the room not ready when you arrived at 12 noon. Our check in time is at 14:00 therefore we always recommend guests requiring an early check in to book the night before. We are always trying our best to accommodate an early check in, however on days when the hotel is fully booked this is not always possible.

We take your comment seriously about the Front office not friendly this already share with Front office manager we will ensure that matter promptly rectified.

I hope that you will accept our apology and allow us the opportunity to show you that the level of service you experienced during your recent stay is not indicative of the usual high standards at our hotel. Please contact me directly if you choose to come back so I can personally take of your booking to ensure a flawless flaw.

Yours sincerely,

Jack

We recently stayed here with a couple of friends for 3 nights. Ozo is situated perfectly in Chaweng , you can just walk out into the Main Street or even hire a scooter to get around. You can relax on the beach or around the pool area. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the staff were all helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel and would go back.

I love this hotel. Perfect in every way....

1. Check in/out was a breeze and service was impeccable. Although they weren't able to extend my check out time, but they were willing to provide me with a shower room prior to departure, wifi access and so forth. Thank you, OZO.

2. Although the room isn't super big, but it was perfect for the 2 of us, with all the amenities you would need for our "home and away from home"..hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, a safe, a mini fridge and toiletries. Decor is very mod and yet relaxing. Everything is still fairly new.

3. Breakfast buffet spread was amazing and sumptuous. Had a blend of both Asian and Western selection.

4. Location, location, location..that's my main criteria when I look for a place to stay. I hate wasting time travelling and and hassling with taxi drivers. This place is ideal. Within walking distance to all the action, (they have their own beach)and yet it is secluded enough to provide you with the quiet and peaceful sanctuary you seek.

5. Transportation from the airport to OZO, we used the shared mini bus..Bht130 per person versus Bht500 for a cab. There is only one counter located right infront of the airport after baggage claim. Waiting time wasn't very long and the journey took about 10 mins. From OZO to the airport, we caught a cab which was Bht400.

Tip 1: A word of caution..the room has a torchlight (inside the wardrobe area) that is always charged. Know where it is. Ko Samui (not just the hotel, but the entire island) tends to experience power failures whenever a storm hits. We've had 3 episodes over our last 3 days.

Tip 2: There's a Seven Eleven as well as a Family Mart right infront of the hotel. If u need a bigger selection of sundries..turn right infront of the hotel and continue walking 10-15mins and u will see Central Festival Mall on your left. There is a TOP supermarket in there.

Enjoy your stay!

Our staff strives to provide excellent service on a daily basis and we are happy that we exceeded your expectations. Your comments will certainly be a great encouragement for our staff as well.

Your additional comment about the electric city failure during storm and rain. We take seriously of this as we always stand by our generator to re turn on but the machine can supply 70% We apologize of inconvenience in this occure.

We do still hope that if you do consider Samui as your next destination for your vacation , it will be with OZO Chaweng Samui.

Kindest regars,

Nice hotel great beds, friendly staff, right on the beach.
(As a side note ,I would recommend the staff advise visitors who are not used to the warning flag alerts on the beach, and what they mean,As there are rips and undertows on certain days and a lot of the travelers from Europe were not aware,in the two weeks we were there there were many rescues and unfortunately two tourists lost their lives.)

Thank you for your comment in TA review. No doubt our team will happy when they know you happy with our service. Our sincere apology for not being able to live up to your expectation in regards of the room size. Please inform us in advance before your next visit so that we can offer you one of the bigger room with 32 sqm that we have few room in our category.

Regarding your comments regarding the beach safety, we can inform you that the whole strip of Chaweng Beach is a public beach. This is also applicable to the beach in front of our hotel. Hotels cannot employ life guards due to local regulation and therefore, we would recommend to address your comments to an official tourism institution like the “Tourism Authority of Thailand”. Rest assured that this topic has been raised by hotels on the island before. Furthermore, the beach can be used by any person that is not staying in our hotel which happened in the case mentioned by you.
For our hotel guests we have two permanent, visible signs on each entrance to the beach. During the period we put a red flag on the beach and put extra signs to warn everyone.

Our security team is present 24h at both beach entrances to the hotel. Even though it is not their duty, the hotel management advised the guards to always warn people in case of stronger undercurrents and whistling whenever needed. In several cases, people ignore the signs and the efforts of our security guards. Again, this is a public beach and we have no authority to prevent people from going into the sea.
Additionally, we invest a substantial amount of money in training and certifying our team members in First Aid by Samui hospitals and the Army Marine Base.

Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one.

Your sincerely,

Jack
