What happened to this nice resort people raved about years back? 6 of us stayed in Superior (B4, B5, B6) and the room were dated, dirty and mouldy and curtains were dusty and mine had a huge brown ring on it. The sulken bath and raised/dropped floor tiling at odd places looked like accident waiting to happen. The tub looked so yucky that we didn't even bother stepping in there, let alone shower or bathe! We weren't looking forward to shower in the shower stall either. Thank goodness for hot water. Breakfast was not worth getting up for so we skipped it the rest of the stay. The pool was ok and exactly as pictured. I guess the beach was the best part and redeeming feature for this place and it was in the lively area yet fairly quiet at night. Service was OK, nothing dramatic happened to us. It was part of a tour package, otherwise I would not have chosen this place. I do not recommend it...unless you need only a cheap place to crash after a long night out.

Room Tip: If you have a choice stay clear from Superior rooms: all 3 we stayed in were dirty and mouldy. Forget breakfast.

Our vacations would have been incomplete if we wouldn't have stayed in this hotel. Private beach, cottage, small but clan and cozy room. Amazing food and decent staff. What more can you ask for.
Even swimming pool facilities were good. Location was also nearby local market.
Overall - a memorable experience!

This was a lovely hotel the Deluxe room was amazing, very roomy and decorated to a high standard.
Staff where very friendly we even did a Thai cooking lesson which was great fun.
Even though it is right in the center it is set back a little so it feels very quite.

The hotel is on a beautiful golden beach that comes alive at night depending which way you walk, if you want peace and quite go a little further up the beach and to your right or if you want to party turn left.

The only noisey part is people can by fireworks on the beach so these can be let off late at night but after the first night you get use to them.

our Assistant GM was Jaras Plodwong he spoke excellent english and was extremley helpful.

Do go you will lobve this hotel.

Room Tip: Worth going for the Deluxe rooms log cabbins didnt look as good, these rooms are brand new only just been finished.

Stay away from this hotel!!! The safe in the room did not work and instead we were given a small deposit box at the reception which unfortunately was not enough for everything. As a result we left one of our wallets in the room, while having fun outside, which we found empty of money when we came back. Our room was still locked and the light was on leading us to the safe assumption that one of the staff members with a key stole our money. When we brought this to the attention of the management they did absolutely nothing to assist or reimburse us, besides an "investigation" during which they simply asked the staff if they took the money. Would you ever stay at such a place?

My girlfriend and I arrived at Malibu, on Christmas eve 09, reception were helpful and even gave us free sweets while we waited, we checked into our room which was clean cool and had everyting we needed the sunken shower was interesting we went straight to the beach to lie down, it was around 4pm, I loved it immediately there was a real buzz on the beach, dudes on Jetskis chicks strolling up and down the beach, loud music up and down the beach, it was exactly what we were looking for a bit of atmosphere for this part of the trip, there are restaurants are bars everywhere, we had one of the massages which was hilarious, I highly reccomend!!
