So glad we found this little restaurant tucked down an alleyway behind the Happy Memory Bar opposite the Centara Grand Resort. The Friend Rice with Pork or Chicken were the best, loved the Tom Ka Gai and Tom Yum. They do takeaway and is cheap cheap. Lovely owner that also cooks the meals...free wifi and cold drinks

Staying in the Centara Grand this place is directly across the road. We first nipped in for lunch and were apprehensive as there were no other customers but we needn't have worried. The food was good and cheap. We ordered chips for the kids and were surprised to get a plate of proper home made chips, yummy. We ate here a few times and also got take away some nights which was really handy. A note though, make sure you have bowls as the dishes come in wee plastic bags and the rice containers are not quite big enough to contain them! A quick trip to 7eleven for bowls and we were sorted!

I was really shocked by some of the comments about Top Thai. We had four dishes there and all were authentic, delicious and fresh. We'd asked for the food to be very spicy and we weren't let down. It felt like we'd had a meal with a Thai family as everyone cared so much about if the food was too hot or if we'd enjoyed it.

It's an unassuming place with no one dragging you in off the street. I hope it does well as it's very reasonably priced and the food is truly excellent.

Clean, yes. Friendly, yes. Small, yes.

Can see why not particularly adventurous travelers or families with children would find this a "go to" restaurant, but after talking with staff in the afternoon while searching for a place to have dinner, I returned for a rather bland and undistinguished gaeng mussaman. There are many better choices for Thai food on this road. I hate to rate the food "poor" because it was not bad, but for Thai in Thailand, it is second rate.

Stopped in for dinner with our children. Lovely appetisers of fish cakes and prawn cakes made to order. Good som tam which we asked for spicy. Other food fine and delicious. Tom yam goong a little underwhelming. Great service and lovely clean and bright restaurant. Would happily go back.
