Little bit further out from main drag but def worth trip. Cool set up, we were lucky enough to get a seat outside. From Entrees to Mains and every drink in-between we thoroughly enjoyed it! Peanut butter martini still gets mentioned by my partner almost on a daily basis, that alone could be a reason to visit Samui again ;)

We heard about this place from a local in Samui and thank god we did. We dined at this place 3 times during our stay in Samui. The owner I think his name was Damon recognised us and came over for a chat, all the staff were really friendly. Damon even offered us a nightcap on him which was a lovely gesture. We tried different things every time we dined and were not disappointed. Our favourite was the Scallops for starter and Wagyu Beef for main, both mouth watering. Cocktails are amazing too. If your on this island you must try, we've dined at all the nicest I restaurants on the island and this wins hands down. It might be a little more expensive than a lot of other places to dine but well worth it.

Last night, we thought we'd visit The Larder. We started with oysters which were excellent, then my husband had wagyu beef and I had tenderloin of lamb which were both cooked to perfection and served with tasty accompanying vegetables. This was followed by a mouthwatering cheesecake. We both drank beer, wine and brandy followed by a latte and an espresso. The ambience was very good, the waitress was very good and the restaurant was full of diners who looked to be enjoying themselves. Both the front of house and chef spoke to us during the course of the evening and we left feeling that we had really enjoyed our visit. Quite honestly, we couldn't fault it in any way and would wholeheartedly recommend it. We wish the two young owners a very successful future.

The food is cooked very well but in some areas it lacks flavour which is a shame because whoever is cooking this food knows what there doing. Some of the menu items are taken from pub/bistro where would you have such a large scotch egg as a starter and why use frozen prawns in Thailand? I think the waiting staff need a course in communication skills the body language gives the impression that they don't really want to be there

My second visit to this excellent restaurant was a breath of fresh air. So many of the European restaurants on Samui are pretentious and self-indulgent (and not nearly as good as they think they are), but The Larder is a delight. Styled as an up-market wine bar, the food is exceptional (not cheap, but not excessive), the service friendly and the whole experience very enjoyable. To be recommended!
