Great cocktails, made right in front of you, peanut-butter one recommended! Fantastic atmosphere.
Variety of food available, don't forget to look at the specials on the blackboards. All ordered different things, and all meals were amazing.

I went to the Larder knowing the superb culinary skills of Chef Martin. Well we were not disappointed. All dishes were not only flawlessly presented, but came quick and tasted superb.
Balanced in taste and texture and presentation so meticulous. As we celebrated my birthday and the birthday of my friend the day before, this was a special treat. I would like to mention the innovative presentation of the cocktails and their superb taste. The two service staff on duty that evening were delightful and really pampered us, but could do with a bit more support. The Chef, Martin personally not only came several times to our tables but all tables. He is without a doubt the star in this restaurant and his super pleasant personality and presence really makes the Larder so special. Not forgetting to mention his outstanding culinary skills. I wish him only the best of success and I will be back for more, often and recommend this very stylish Restaurant. Congratulations you made my birthday special. Thank you. Oh by the way just to mention the price value proposition is also excellent I found the prices most reasonable.

By far the best food and cocktails on the island! We really regret not eating here earlier during our stay! The staff were just gorgeous and the owner onsite recommending his favorites just made it that little bit more special/personal! Still very shocked at how good the food was! We have eaten at most of the best resturants in Melbourne, an this is definately up there with them! Must, must eat here!!

We go to Thailand as much for the (Thai) food as anything else and mostly eat Thai food on Samui, at anywhere from roadside stalls/markets to small local restaurants and an occasional fancier place. Bet we usually have one night a week for International/Western food, last year it was Orgasmic and Dining on the Rocks, this year we plumped for The Larder and Ocean 11.

This is not a restaurant to go for the views, it's just on the side of the road between Chaweng and Choeng Mon and looks out onto the road at front and a local store next door. Parking is down a laneway to the side, perfectly easy to get to and park in, if the "local" reviewer who complained about it hasn't parked in much worse places on Samui then he hasn't been to many places.

The layout and furnishings are basic but comfortable and the service was excellent on the night we were there. Nothing fussy or pretentious here.
My partner started with Tom Yum Siam cocktail, she's tried this before elsewhere, but this was the best yet, tom yum flavours, kick of chilli even, not too sweet.
Starters were miso Foie (foie gras with black truffles and miso) and a duck breast and liver pate ( a huge serve), both excellent.
Mains were double duck (roast breast and confit leg) and wagyu beef, fairly thinly sliced, cooked perfectly and buried under a salad dressed with stilton cheese (a bit like the Orgasmic version, designed to make it look "healthy" I think). No hugely fussy arrangements, just very well prepared food with great flavours.
The wine list is quite brief and we weren't up to a bottle, so I had a glass of Montepulciano d'Abbruzzo that was quite big and firm, went well with the steak, not exorbitantly priced either.

We couldn't fit in dessert this time, but went back later at night a week later for just cocktails and dessert, chocolate souffle and a huge chocolate fudge cake.

Price for drinks and starters/mains for 2 was 3510 Bt, all the prices on the menu are inclusive of taxes and service charge, there is no big shock of the extra charges at the end.

I think the Larder offers good food at a good price with good service in a comfortable room, no fuss and pretensions, I hope they are still there next year, we'll be back.

Wow!

Great restaurant - could've been in London or Sydney rather than a Thai island!

Great cocktails. Exciting menu. Try the Scotch Egg!!! The goats cheese was excellent.

Chocate souffle was to die for :)

A must for any visitor to Samui
