We stayed at the Chaba Samui Koh Samui in June this year. The hotel was clean and friendly, with good facilities in the rooms, this is not a 5 star hotel so guests should not expect that standard what you can expect is good value for your money.

We checked in with no problem, we stayed in a Ocean Side room (312) which luckily was a good distance from the main road. Nice Balcony facing the Palm Trees, why do neighbours feel the need to look into next doors balcony it very annoying !!!!!

The noise from Duke's Bar is a problem at Night, this is my only negative comment on the hotel

Food and drink at the hotel was reasonably priced and of good quality, Breakfast was good with the normal choices and lots of variety, the bonus was having a good toaster, which is ok as long as other guests leave the speed setting alone !!!!

Pool and beach were good we walked the length of the beach and we were pleased that we had chosen a central location as the beach in the southern end is poor.

Had a few days out on boat trips really enjoyed them all reasonably priced

Night Life good we ate out every night and visited many bars all good fun

As normal on about day 8 you get a little stuck on what you fancy to eat this is where The Samui Wave Bar came into its own, Have a look at Pete’s Night Time snack board its just like being at home, from Cheese On Toast, Pie and Chips to a Cheese and Branston Pickle Sandwich, just what we needed, Good Bar with really nice Staff and management.

I had some suits made and would highly recommend Timmy, 1st rate service not cheep and pushy but quality materials, and fabrics with good service.

We stayed in Kohtao for 3 night which was fantastic. Beach out of this world Please help to keep it clean and take your rubbish to a bin

Overall had a good holiday met some really nice guests from all over the world only negative I have is some of the British Guests need to show some consideration for others especially on the beach, it quite rude to shout across to each other having a conversation which others really don’t want to hear take a walk to the sea and have a chat all day.

Good Bar next door to the hotel, Beach comber for an evening beer watching the sun go down, and having a chat with other holidaymakers, nice staff who work hard.

If I was to come back to the Koh Samui I would stay at the Chaba Samui again, but to be honest it is a lovely island but its back to Patong for us next time.

Airport great especially the complementary refreshments.

Room Tip: Ocean Side room as far away as possible from the Main Road.

Stayed here for a few nights with a friend before going to Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party. We were in the part of the hotel across the road which doesn't have ocean views. Rooms were very old but still comfortable. I would recommend paying extra to stay in the ocean view rooms as they are more modern and closer to the bigger pool. Buffet breakfast was great value. Staff were very helpful and willing to go out of their way to help us. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family!

Stayed there in the Ocean Wing for 8 Nights, a bit too long for me in the one place. 4 nights would have been good.
Staff were 1st class, rooms were good and clean.Small bathrooms with showers that drain the wrong way .Many people have said the decor is tired and outdated, did not worry me.Excellent central position on the beach strip.WiFi is NOT free in the hotel. Most of the cafes and bakeries offer free WiFi..Came back from a day trip to find that there were no towels left after the room was serviced, rang reception, and they delivered them within 2 minutes or less,1st class service.
Breakfast was good but not brilliant. All in all worth a stay.......DONT FORGET YOUR EARPLUGS.

Fantastic hotel! The room was good and had basic amenities such as hot shower nice bed and balcony. The pool was great, very big and right at the beach. The staff were very very nice, we arrived in a tuk tuk from a night out and it was raining and a lady from the hotel was waiting for us with umbrellas to walk us to our room! The buffet was very good! The only downfall was the pool bar did not open and we were told during happy hour that if we wanted drinks we had to walk to the lobby which was across the road in another building to order them. However I would still highly recommend this hotel! I had a great stay!

Room Tip: stay in a ocean view room as it is in a seperate building to the lake view. These rooms are more upd...

We have just returned from our second stay at Chaba Samui and will be returning again next year. Unfortunately my husband managed to get Dengue Fever and had to stay in hospital for 6 days which meant we had to extend our stay. The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for me and looked after me very well whilst my husband was in hospital. The manager of the hotel even went to visit my husband twice. Need i say more the staff became my second family and i thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!!!! We will definately be returning next year to our home from home.

Room Tip: We have stayed in both ocean view and lake view, the rooms are very similar but the lake view do not...

I was concerned when I saw some of the reviews on Chaba Samui however I found the hotel to be relaxing. Stayed in a Ocean side room on second floor. Sure it's not a top class hotel but it's also not top class prices either. Staff all extremely friendly apart from one frosty lady on reception. Pool great and as with the majority of Chaweng hotels, just a few steps away from the beautiful beach. Pool bar decent and food tasty and cheap enough. Massage bu pool and sand, great to hear the ocean while you're relaxing.
Breakfast - good choices available. Room had everything we needed (was slightly tired - so what), had flat screen tv and fridge. Was clean and comfortable with a balcony which isn't overlooked by anything/anyone opposite.
Location a few hundred yards from main nightlife, but just far away from noise.
Some noise from rock band at the Duke pub but stopped early enough majority of nights.
Tony, local Thai entertainment manager (Customer relations) was friendly and fun.
We'd definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Would not pick ground floor, 1st floor (2nd floor) have quiet balconies, only palm trees oppposite...

The hotel is located in a good spot on Chaweng Beach. An older style hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, hard beds, decent breakfast.

Due to the loud music played every night until the early hours at The Duke pub across the road I did not sleep well, even with ear plugs. We changed rooms and the noise was slightly better but not good. Although the Chaba is not responsible for the noise I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay in an ocean wing room closer to the beach to avoid noise
