We stayed from 17-20 January 2014 in the garden view room.
Arriving early we were treated like royalty and usherd to a lounge where cool towels and sweet tea was served. Then we were shown to the bar lounge overlooking the pool and ocean ( amazing views from every part of the resort) while we waited for our room to be ready and it felt like no time at all before we were shown to our room ( we came 3 hours before check in) in the garden area. People say that this is too secluded and away from everything, but it certainly is not! It's a 2 minute walk across to the main pool and there was a garden pool that was more secluded just 30 seconds away! It was so beautiful and I would stay in this room again (room no. 5129). The room was great, it was the perfect size with a private balcony looking into a Palm and frangipani filled garden. The bed was set up as King and we wanted two singles, in the blink of an eye while we were sitting on our balcony the two beds were there.
THE SERVICE HERE IS AMAZING.
I am here now using the wifi which is great also!
Ask me questions if you have any! But I'm sure the answer will be: ' it was great' because everything was so amazing!

Quick notes:
Amazing service
The air con works so well! Freezer in our room sometimes
Shower pressure best in world
Breakfast was so so so good and big
Location was the best in chaweng. Anything you want is there!

Great room across the road (not beachside) near a beautiful swimming pool. Great setting, super breakfasts and warm friendly staff....absolutely perfect setting for a KOH SAMUI vacation.
The airconditioning worked really well, the room had all amenities and the Italian restaurant Prego on the premises was superb...our vacation was enhanced greatly by our hotel. Need I write more!

Definitely the best resort in Koh Samui. Excellent service and hospitable staff. It has it's own private beach. The breakfast spread was huge and sumptuous. The restaurants had vast variety of sea food on offer.

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful.

One of the oldest and most beautiful properties at Koh Samui , Spent almost a week at this property and already a huge fan . We did not feel like going out even for a single day. The location ,ambience , comfort was one of the best . My family is in love with the 2 swimming pools where we spent most of the time. the staff is courteous , very helpful and non intrusive.
The breakfast spread is superb and gives you many options .
Preggo- The Italian restaurent is amazing and could be the best Italian on the Island.

Definitely coming back...

Room Tip: If you like privacy , take the rooms on the 1st floor on the other side of the road .

Only stayed here for a night so only really experienced rooms and breakfast, overall of which both were good. This was the most comfortable bed we slept in (most mattresses are super hard and this bed had more of a W hotel feel). Rooms were spacious, well maintained albeit a little dated.

One con, is a lot of the rooms are across the street from the beach but the property does supply a crossing guard to help you cross to avoid getting hit by traffic.

Breakfast here was included and by far the best of the trip. Lots of options to choose from and really good.

Two different pools, many different restaurant options on property and you could actually lay on the beach even with the tide high during the day.

Stayed here for 4 nights as I was in Koh Samui for a couple of weeks but had not pre booked all my accomodation, so came across the Amari by chance. Loved my stay here, perfect for what I wanted being on my own and coming to the end of my holiday, it wasnt too crowded round the pool and hardly any kids, so it was very relaxing even though it was peak season. The front pool, near the beach seemed to be a lot busier and quite a few kids about there though. I had room on the garden side, near the rear pool. The room was very spacious and modern, huge bed and lovely bathroom. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. When I was due to depart I needed to get to the airport, I only had 200 baht left, not enough for a taxi unless I went to the ATM down the road. They kindly gave me a lift in the hotel vehicle to save me messing about. I'd definately stay here again, lovely place and staff. Spa a bit pricey though, better value if you go to one outside as there are loads to choose from. Thanks!

Room Tip: The room I has was across the road from the main building and beach. I was glad as the rooms was hug...
