“So fresh, so tasty, so cheap!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

After reading about this little place we knew we had to visit! It's easy to find, with good signage. The girl seated and served us politely and quickly which was perfect. Spring rolls were our starter (stock standard) We ordered pad thai (yum) and sweet n sour pork (not too sweet, just perfect) both meals were served quickly and were made 100% fresh! The vegetables in my sweet n sour were crisp and delicious and the pork was cooked well. The girl serving us came over when we finished drinking to see if we needed anymore drinks. she was polite, attentive and very kind. We went around 6:30pm which was perfect as there was only one other customer enjoying an array of delights to himself! As time passed it did fill with customers which may be why an earlier comment complained on wait times. We will DEFINITELY be back there and recommend this little gem to anyone seeking a tasty thai feast for two (spring rolls as starter and 2 mains) with drinks under 500baht

“Super value”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

This has got to be one of the most unassuming restaurants ever. Located just off the main road the restaurant is small with some outdoor seating. There is a wide choice on he menu. The food was super and was excellent value for money. If I had one problem the service is a bit slow but the food is definitely worth the wait. Definitely worth a visit no matter what your budget is.

“Tiny little restaurant tucked away”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

We ate here last night based on reviews on this site. We have had some wonderful meals using the TA site but unfortunately this one left us a little underwhelmed. The young girl serving was delightful & tried very hard to make it a good experience but we had to wait for well over an hour for the 4th meal to arrive -well after the 1st one had been served & eaten. The food was ok(the papaya salad was delicious) - but we felt it was on the high side price wise - compared to other little gems we have eaten at over the last week. Maybe the kitchen couldn't cope with everyone coming in close together.....but I counted only 16 all up. It is tucked away next to the bank (starting with a K) & if you are up that way anyway, then try it, but I wouldn't suggest you go out of your way as there are plenty of others who probably do better

Hello peegeeSydney,

thanks for having visited our restaurant. We are sorry to see that you had some issues with the speed at which we have been able to serve you. It is indeed true that our restaurant is very small and yes 16 people is already a considerable amount of customers for us especially if they all arrive at the same time. We have a small kitchen and we do our best to serve as fast as we can but sometimes we have to warn customers that it will take longer than what we would like to. We cook everything fresh, nothing is pre-cooked in our kitchen and this while gives to our dishes a great taste takes some extra time. Regarding prices, it comes to the same point fresh first quality ingredients. In Samui cost of vegetables and shrimps this year went up more than 50% it is difficult to cope with such a price increase, we try our best keeping prices frankly very very reasonable as most other customers state. Larger restaurants have for sure lower prices as they can play with quantities... we cannot. In addition we believe that a fair salary is due to our staff that work very hard to satisfy our customers... another reason for having a PadThai on the menu that costs 2 Euro!

“Amazing thai food!”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Hands down this was the best Thai food we ate whilst holidaying in Koh Samui. Every dish was spot on and the staff were very friendly. It is an unassuming place but clean and all food is reasonably priced. I really recommend this restaurant for an authentic Thai meal. Couldn't get enough. Dead Set!

“Amazing place - make sure you go!!”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We found this place through tripadvisor recommendations and had a great night. No, it's not the most glamorous place and could do with a coat of paint but the food, service and welcome were superb. We had a few different dishes, all excellent. After 10 days its the best meal we have had in Thailand. If you are looking for a traditional, fresh tasting meal which is better than your local takeaway come here! Also excellent value, £20 for 2 including a couple of beers each is very good. Make sure you give it a try whilst in Koh Samui...
