Hotel was very luxurious and the staff friendly and efficient.Plenty of room by the pool and never short of sunbeds.
Food excellent, breakfasts huge and happy hour by the pool made drinks almost affordable.
The hotel is on the beach and their website promised a windsurf school which did not exist. There was no sailing at thehotel and the reception staff had no idea where to send us to find any.During our stay the website was changed as we had printed off what we expected and took it with us.
The new website promised " free transport to windsurfing",we managed a free bus once ,but again the staff just sent us to Chaweng and we had to find the sailing ourselsves.
In reality the watersports at Lawana were two very old kayaks and a couple of snorkel and mask sets, not quite what we were expecting.
We decided to try the Anantara Bophut for the day as this was supposed to have a"Resident olympic medal winning windsurf instructor and school where you can have a three day couse".We were told that the windsurfers were broken and got a suprised look from the manager when we asked about the school.
While this did not ruin whar was avery good holiday,we had 6 teenagers in our party thet needed more than the hotel had to offer for entertainment.
This is an excellent hotel for couples or those that want to take it easyMore
