We had booked a room as a stop over on the way to and way back from our vacation place this summer. We were there with our two young kids. The first night was already tough as we did not get the feeling to be welcome but the room was OK. However, the waitress was aggressive towards our son (2 years old). To repeat her words, she told him that he did not seem a friendly person. I found that completely unacceptable.
It was even worse on our way back where we were placed in a room with a glass door looking at a corridor. In other words, every other client going to sleep would awake us by turning on the light in corridor. Further, as we were reading in the living, it was too much asking to turn on a light. Obviously, the waitress had difficulty with us not shouting permanently at our kids and not holding them on a lead.

Room tip: Do not go there at all with kids

Dommage, dommage!!!!!!

Near to Paris; near to Versailles and an IDEAL stopping off point if travelling to the South from Calais, Dieppe Le Havre or Caen
Once through the gates of this countryside Chambres d'Hotes you enter a quiet and rather lovely haven of peace and tranquillity.
The welcome by Marie and Phillipe is warm and genuine and
they are clearly and rightly so, proud of their lovely home which boasts a large outdoor pool and lovely gardens
Perhaps the most wonderful aspect, is dinner "En Famille" around a huge table ,cooked and served by Marie and Phillipe who somehow also have time to eat with their guests!!
After drinks on the terrace appetites are ripe but the sumptuous four course meal does not disappoint. What a feast! Food, wines conversations!
Breakfast is served in similar fashion with the usual French Fayre and coffee in abundance
What a treat to stay in such a beautiful home with such wonderful people. We will return. C'est Magnifique!!

Thank you Marie and Phillipe

We stayed for 1 night on our drive south in Aug and found it suited our needs perfectly. It's just outside Paris, but feels like being in the country. The small pool is heaven after a day stuffed in a car! Our room was in the main/old house, and whilst small (the bathroom is not a 'proper' ensuite, but a toilet and shower section along one wall. With a proper ensuite, I would have had no hesitation in rating the place 'very good'). The room was quiet and clean enough, and the double bed comfortable. 4-course table d'hotes dinner was delicious and all homemade, including the pasta! Breakfast was the usual croissant, tartines, yogurt affair you get everywhere in France. I gather that others have had less positive experiences, but we had no problem with our reservation, found our hosts perfectly amiable, and would both stay there again.

We chose this b and b carefully as we were travelling as grandparents, parents and two small children. We had a long day's drive so the garden and pool were wonderful for the children. The annex for our daughter her partner and children was adeqate, a little shabby but with a nice terrace. Our room was comfortable and the shower in particular was excellent. However we did not find the proprietor especially welcoming. Despite the fact the annexe had a kitchen, she made it clear that she did not trust us to be sufficiently clean enough to use it. Table d'hote in a formal setting or going to a restaurant was not appropriate with tired children. Some of us are also vegetarian for which we were almost castigated. It was not presented as a joke. My husband and I speak pretty good French and made every effort to engage with her, but it felt as if we were making all the effort in order to soften her attitude and behaviour.. She seemed to have forgotten that she was providing a service. We felt under surveillance, both evening and morning. Breakfast was a croissant each on a plate and a very small baguette for 4 adults and 2 children. Yoghurt was produced rather grudgingly, assuming we wouldn't want it because in her words "vegetarians eat nothing"! In all, a lovely setting spoilt by formality and fussiness, which bordered on rudeness.

Room tip: Avoid the annex. The rooms in the main house are more comfortably appointed. Swimming pool closes at 20.00 so make sure you arrive before then on a hot day.
