We popped in for Sunday lunch, our second visit since the pub ceased to be the Plum Tree and once again were struck by the great hospitality of every member of staff we encountered. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and they kindly provided me with a pudding (ice cream) that wasn't on the menu. The lemon meringue pie and sticky toffee pudding also come highly recommended. This place deserves to succeed.

Hubby & I were on a residential course at nearby Trafford Hall, only sandwiches were provided on the first night but we wanted a hot meal,we were told about The Dunham Arms & as it was only a couple of miles away we gave it a try.
What a find,we both had a large bowl of parsnip soup with a crusty roll, very good & filling, for mains we chose cottage pie with chips & peas, this was from the light bites menu,to drinkwe had an orange also a diet pepsi (large).
The total bill was just £21 75,now that represents very good value for money,if we were in the area again would definitely call again & would recommend

Feeling hungry on our way to Chester last Saturday we decided to stop off for lunch. We were curious to see how the pub had changed - we were pleasantly surprised. It had a lovely feel when you walked in. The staff were welcoming and friendly and it was great to see a different menu as you find in many of the pubs today. The Wiltshire ham and tomato sandwich and sizzling steak platter with rice were excellent. Unfortunately we missed out on the 2 for 1 deal as it was the weekend but we'll definitely be returning.

Called here by default as the car park at the Toby Carvery was full. So glad it was as we were very impressed with the choice of food available as well as some very tasty beers. Our meals were well presented as represented excellent value for money. Top marks also to the young man who looked after us. As an added bonus there is free wi-fi available and a panoramic view over the cheshire plain.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Five of us went two saturdays ago,to give it a try, after been dissapointed with the previous set up,when it was the plum tree,It has now reverted back to being called the Dunham arms again.
From the moment we walked in we were treated as customers who were welcome. The management and staff were really efficient, and you got the feeling they cared about you.
The meal was excellent, with plenty of choice, but not over the top.You always feel that when there is a huge menu, most of it is reheated or microwaved.
The food was piping hot and sufficient helpings, with the plates being hot as well.
We really enjoyed the meal and the service, and would definetly return. In fact we are,as sixteen of us are going for christmas lunch in December.
