We was going to a 50th Birthday Party and needed a b&b for the Saturday night. Found this gem of a pub that did B&B on Late rooms. com for £45.00. The staff was of the highest standard and room have just been refurbished to a very high standard with new shower room. The very substantial breakfasts were freshly cooked when we wanted them by the very friendly owner. Would highly recommend this Gem of a Pub/b&b. Would stay here again.

Stayed for two nights. Great value for b and b - breakfast kept us going the whole day very tasty. Evening meal was very good value - simple and good quality. Only reason has lost a point is currently under temporary management - hope they find a new landlord - we would definitely stay again when back in frodsham

We stayed here to break up a journey from Ireland to London via Holyhead, it was well worth it.
The two rooms have been refurbished recently, and have been completed to a very high standard. The room and bathroom were both very clean.
The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful and the hosts were friendly. Would stay here again.

The initial greeting was not very welcoming. There was an awful smell of damp up to my room above the pub. The room itself was very nicely decorated but not clean & wasn't cleaned during my 2 night stay.
The pleasant young barman who served breakfast seemed as confused as I was about his breakfast duties although we got there eventually.
Heard from the other local inn that there were problems with management. I won't be back to find out if they sorted things out - sorry.

Room Tip: Suggest that they keep the cellar door shut if it is open as the smell was far worse then.

Stayed here for 3 night break with family members. Quality of the 2 double bedrooms was excellent. No expense has been spared on the refurbishment. Comfy beds, rooms cleaned daily. The very substantial breakfasts were freshly cooked when we wanted them by the very friendly owner. There was no need to eat lunch after a 'Dave special'.
The pub itself is a very friendly busy place that the locals appear to love, although pretty basic. The staff were friendly and on hand for anything at all.
The menu offers a fairly limited choice of very well cooked home made meals at extremely good prices, 2 for £10 while we were there. Again, we never needed desserts
as there was plenty on the plates.
This place is somewhere to recommend to all. We will stay there again.

Room Tip: Room one has a 6 ft double bed.

We were fortunate in discovering this very pleasant traditional pub when looking for accommodation in the Frodsham area. Its an ideal base for touring the area. We would normally stay at a Premier Inn, but found this to be a far better option. The room was well furnished with all the additional tea/coffee, free wi-fi facilities that you associate with more expensive accommodation. The white towels were replaced daily.
We experienced no problems at all with the car park.
Our thanks to Dave, the manager, who couldn't have been more helpful. We'll certainly be booking there again.

Rooms are above the pub, but upgraded recently. Location is good for many Cheshire destinations and the pub has its own food features and typical local custom base during evening.

Car parking is good but access is very briefly busy at school pick up times as the primary school is nearby.
