We stopped by in Bitburg after a trip to Vianden, Luxemburg. We were looking for an evening meal and chose this restaurant at random. A good choice for us. The restaurant is part of a hotel and is smaller than most. No matter. The food, set up and service were first rate. There was only one waitress on duty but she handled all cutomers in a reasonably timely manner. Although we sat outside in the Fussgaenger Zone (pedestrian only zone) I had the chance to look around inside. All areas were clean.
The menu was limited but was well represented with local German specialties. I had a Schlachtteller comprised of different types of meat and wurst served with whipped potatoes mixed with sauerkraut. Heavenly! My wife had a Baurnpfanne of fried potatoes mixed with sauted onions, sliced wurst, bacon and covered with fried eggs. She loved it but could not finish the dish because it was too much for her to eat. My son loved his dish of fried egg on toast with salad and potato pancake.
We had a lovely experience there and look forward to returning some day.
