We have spent many happy hours at the Sands, many dollars too. The drinks and food are very expensive, but good. We found the young staff very friendly and accommodating. We love the setting. We suggest you check the drink prices and drink accordingly. They add a 18% gratuity, so do not add a tip on top of it like I did the first visit. Relax and enjoy yourself!

During our recent stay in Treasure Cay we were warned not to eat at the Treasure Sands Club due to its expensive food. Since many other places on the island were also fairly expensive (around $30 per plate without drinks) we chose to ignore this advice and go there one night anyhow. Beyond the 3 hours it took to eat, mediocre food, and 2 messed up orders that we received, we were really disappointed with the way we were treated by the management. One of the people in our group paid with a credit card, but rather than bringing a machine to the table they took his credit card out of sight. No one thought anything about it until 2 days later when he went to use it again and it was declined due to a lack of funds. This was very strange since he had made sure before he left on the trip that he had plenty of room on his credit card in case of emergency. When he phoned the Mastercard they told him his credit card had been used to buy 2 plane tickets on Air Canada for a total of $6500. After cancelling the transaction he went through each of his purchases that he had made while we were on the island and out of the 3 times he'd used his card the only time where he did not personally swipe his card was at Treasure Cay Sands Club. We thought the manager should know there was a strong chance that someone at his restaurant had been responsible.
When we went back the next day to notify the manager that we believed that someone from his restaurant had scammed the card, he told brushed us off like it was a trivial issue. Trying to steal $6500 from someone is not a minor issue. He then told us it must have been one of our family members or good friends that had stolen the credit card number. When we told him that was ludicrous to think that a family member had stolen the card, he simply told us that no one from his staff could possibly have done it. While the jury is still out on whether the credit card was scammed at Treasure Sands Club, the way the manager treated us was so disrespectful it was infuriating. I have never been talked to like that before by anyone let alone the manager of a supposedly upscale restaurant. Out of all restaurants I have eaten at, this was one of the most expensive and easily the worst management I have ever encountered.

When we arrived, everyone was in awe. The setting is gorgeous. Right on the beach with a marvelous ocean view. The pink and blue cushions on comfy chaises surrounding the wading pool. Mood lighting and torches. Fantastic. Unfortunately, that's where the positive stopped.

Our group didn't fit at a pre-set table (for 6) so the staff re-set it. That took half an hour. And it wasn't right. But no big deal

After ordering, we waited for two and a half hours to get our entrees. We were offered drinks right as we arrived and that was it. Others in the party literally had to get up and go find a server to get another drink.

3 people in the group received incorrect meals but since we had already been waiting 3 hours since initially arriving - they were starving. One person who ordered shrimp on her pasta got 2 shrimp. TWO - for an $8 surcharge. Unreal.

My meal, Chef's Catch fish was excellent, but my sides were cold - still tasty though.

One member of our party got seriously ill from food poisoning later that night and was out of commission for almost three days. She had the salmon.

Our server seemed very timid and afraid of us, almost moving in slow motion.

The food is pricey, even by Treasure Cay standards. The Chef's Catch was actually on of the least expensive items on the menu. Most entrees were $45+, drinks were $13. There is also a MANDATORY 18% gratuity. Service was the worst we had received during our whole vacation.

The owner/manager stood by the bar texting on his phone the entire time we were there.

A few days after our visit, one person in the group got a call from his credit card regarding fraudulent charges. TSC was the only place he used the card. Luckily, every one else had paid cash.

I guess there's a reason why there were only 2 other tables full when we were there. Too bad - there is lots of potential. I definitely would not return here, and it's too bad.

On our way in the owner passed us and totally ignored us. The indoor restaurant is soulless with bad lighting and hardly any customers. The waitresses are very sweet and polite. We asked for the doors/windows to be closed as it was fairly chilly and windy. Our wine was off, they only brought one starter and by the time my husbands turned up mine was finished. We had home made bread which was tasteless and badly cooked and no butter knives. My husbands main course fish was perfectly acceptable but my pasta was undercooked and did not seem terribly fresh so I only ate half. We declined dessert. The owner of the restaurant sat immediately opposite us and totally ignored us again! The bill came to 150 dollars which is far too much for a restaurant in Abaco and the quality of our experience. The owner needs to wake up to exactly what making your guests feel comfortable means and needs to look at his prices then perhaps the restaurant will be full every night. We walked right past the owner on our way out and guess what.....no goodbye and thank you!!!!!! Have only given two stars as the starter soup was delicious and my husbands main course was good. We will not return however !

This is an incredible restaurant in the tiny village of Treasure Cay! I wish we too had discovered it on our first day there. The ambiance is incredible...situated right on the beach, the lighting, the music, the service, the food, the drinks are all far above average! We had two unbelievable meals here. These people know the meaning of great service and are extremely accommodating. Do not miss this very special place!!
