This was a decent place to stay considering we were just passing through. The staff was nice, breakfast was fine. It was really really hard to find, though. We had to ask directions over and over again. But that aside, it was a typical old style french hotel, not expensive, and just fine for one night.

This lovely quiet hotel is a real find!
Location in the heart of the village, but with a free car park. The room was "so French" with ancient furniture (felt as in a mansion), but with flat screen TV and free wi-fi (one of my must have's). Nice and helpful staff. Will come back.

Looking at the other reviews, I'm really puzzled, and have to wonder: Did we go to the wrong hotel? Did we enter a parallel universe, or the Twilight Zone? Because the Hotel des Cymaises we saw was just awful.
We reserved two rooms here several weeks before our trip, based on previous reviews on Tripadvisor. We didn't have unrealistic expectations: after all, the rooms are just 70 euros each, and this hotel is located in a small village. Pleasantly shabby, but cozy and comfortable, would have been just fine.
When we arrived late in the afternoon, the hotel appeared empty. The woman at the front desk selected our keys from a completely full rack, and began to lead us to our rooms. Up, up and up until we reached the garret level (no elevator). We asked if there was anything available on a lower floor; the reply that these were the only rooms available seemed puzzling based on the seeming emptiness of the hotel and the late October date.
Our hearts started to sink as we went up the stairs and entered the hallway. The old paint and tired grey indoor-outdoor carpeting combined with a vague dreariness was giving us the creeps. Then she opened the door of room #1. Bad. Just old and ugly, a sagging bed, nearly bare, and reeking of disinfectant. But room #2 clinched it. It had all the negatives of the first room, added to an eye-watering stench of mildew. Both rooms were furnished at a level we would imagine finding in a transient hotel in an American skid row. This is the kind of hotel that makes you grateful for roadside chain motels in all their boring reliability.
I'm giving this hotel two stars instead of one, only because the lady in question allowed us to cancel our reservation.

I am sure that this hotel was a fine town house or possibly a coaching house once upon a time. It is not particularly modern i.e. no lifts air con etc., but the house is very old and looks as if it has recently been refurbished. To me this hotel is quintessentially French in its style. The owners are very nice and helpful too.
Breakfast is more than ample and typically Continental.
There is on-site parking in the yard, which can get a bit congested, and access is tight, but possible if you are careful.
Breakfast was taken in the conservatory that overlooks the yard.
Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. We were on the top floor and our room was en suite.
This hotel is right in the centre of this charming hilltop town.
Good spot to stay for that cross France trip (we were on our way home to the UK from Lake Garda), or even for a few nights to explore this historic area which is between the Cote D'or and Chablis wine regions.
We would certainly stay here again if in the area.

Arrived at this hotel and was greeted as we rode in on our motorbike by a gentlemen who asked in broken english "Do you have booking", "yes" we replied, he then directed us as to where to park(inside a garage)Once we had unloaded he showed us into hotel where we were once more greeted, this time by his wife, the booking confirmed and then monsieur showed us to our room. (No 8)
The room itself was a nice size double, the furnishings were lovely. The bathroom was a very good size, the toilet itself was in the bathroom but with a bit of a wall to seperate from bath/basin. It was very well laid out, It had a hairdyer which is one of my must have's. Every thing in the room was spotless.
The breakfast they served each morning was very enjoyable, asked what hot drink we wanted and then served at table with fruit juice, bowl of fruit salad and a basket with bread and croissants. There was jams and a small pk of cheese on table. It was enough for me, I did notice that some other people asked for more and it did not seem to be a problem.
The hotel was right in the town, and we just strolled round corner to find somewhere for a meal and drink in evening.
The town itself is lovely, a medieval city. The surrounding area was lovely too.
Would we stay here again, no hesitation.
