We stayed for two nights with our young girl, the hotel is conveniently located with only a short drive from everything.
Very good room, super clean and modern facilities, good breakfast, very polite staff, parking on-site.
There us a collection of ancient greek pottery museum replicas displayed all over the place, and a few original ones which we were lucky enough to have in our room.
The only drawbacks were the almost non existent and beyond erratic internet, and that the swimming pool was not open, despite the over 30°C in the afternoon, when everything is closed in Agrigento and San Leone.
We enjoyed our stay, but had difficulties to keep up with family and jobs.
Very pleasant place.

The hotel is definitely not what we expected, from reading perfect reviews to the "4 star" claim on TripAdvisor, our impression was that this was a max three star but more likely a two star motel type of an accommodation. Our room was in the building with the restaurant, about that later, and didn't have any lift or anyone helping with luggage. The room looked at another buildings wall so no light or view. It was a tired room with an uncomfortable bed and a thin sheet with no blanket, even though it was cold outside. There was an old raggetty throw in the wardrobe but we were definitely not using it. We must have gotten a room with a special needs bathroom as the amenities were odd - a shower with four half doors hence water splashing everywhere, a toilet that was very strange hight etc etc. The restaurant was recommended on check in so we went for dinner but it was the worst dinner of our two week trip around Italy. The bruschetta bread was thick, old, the tomatoes flavourless and soggy with absolutely no love or seasoning, the so called fried mixed seafood consisted of three prawns and some calamari, all flavourless and literally thrown on the plate. We told the waiter about how disappointed we were and he did take all the food off the bill which we appreciated. The man at reception said there was going to be a night tour after dinner for anyone staying at the hotel but we realised that it left without anyone asking if we wanted to join. All in all this place is ok if you need a bed to sleep in for a night. It is definitely not a "destination" or of a quality you would expect for this star rating. After the shocking dinner we didn't even bother going down for breakfast! The only positive - a welcome drink was very much appreciated and the lovely lady at the front desk helped my husband book a car for another part of our travel in Italy. Unfortunately that is all the positive I can give about this hotel.

Taking into account all aspects of our stay here - our villa-type double room in the annexe across the street, the service we received throughout the hotel and its restaurant, and the hotel’s amenities including free secure on-site parking - the Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa was probably the best-value accommodation we have ever had, anywhere in Italy.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The calm and professional ‘can do’ attitude of all the staff was particularly impressive. And a special thank you to Marco, headwaiter of the hotel’s Il Grecale restaurant, who is a real fun character.

Also of note. The hotel offers a free half-hour after-dinner minibus tour for restaurant diners which circles around the Valley of the Temples. This is a very helpful service that enables guests who will be going into the archaeological site the following day to ‘get their bearings’ with respect to parking, access and facilities etc. and to understand a little about the history of the Valley, (actually it’s more a ridge than a Valley), and of the archaeological work that continues in the Agrigento area.

A friendly family run concern where the family clearly do everything from a lovely welcome at reception, with a local wine, waiting on, in the adjacent restaurant and then providing a chauffeur /guide around the illuminated Greek ruins at night.

They obviously take a lot of pride in their local history and even offer food with ancient connections. I tried the prawns cooked in sesame and a sweet wine which was amazing.

A very different hotel experience.

This Hotel has what every tourist and visitor would like, a friendly and helpful staff, a nice clean room ( with view of the sea if available), a good location with private parking. My wife and I have traveled in Sicily for 2 months and this has been the best Hotel experience. The Hotel has its own restaurant, but off season it is open only on Satruday night. A grocery store and a very good restauant are next door. The owners are present all the time and help you with everything, even serving you breakfast. We recommend this Hotel to everyone no matter what your preference might be.

Room tip: Top floor with balcony and a vrie towards the sea.
