A very tidy site in a stunning part of the world. Everything you need is on the site or very close by. The nearest beach is a drive or a bike ride away so dont get upset when you cant walk there. The pools are clean and tidy but blokes must pack their budgie smugglers as shorts are a no no. The area is fairly flat so dont forget your bikes. Seeing the area by bike is fantastic.

This is a lovely campsite with excellent facilities previously mentioned. The bathroom/ shower/ washing up areas are plentiful and cleaned 3 times a day however they are mixed sex which took a bit of getting used to!!

We camped in our own tent for over a week. The kids (8 and 12) had a great time and enjoyed the facilities. They found plenty of friends both English and French and spent most of the time in the pools and the bouncy castles.

We found the restaurant to be reasonably priced and comparable with others outside the site, the food was also good. Staff we encountered were always helpful and friendly and all spoke good English (even though we spoke to them in French!)

Our only gripe was the noise. As mentioned, we were in our own tent and we were pitched quite close to the main block, alongside a road. This was convenient for the facilities during the day but although the site has a 11pm curfew on noise and cars, this wasn't heeded by most.

The bar/night club area is apparently hired out to private parties and on one night we had to suffer a heavy metal party which didn't finish until 5.30am!!! Weekends were also noisy with parties which didn't seem to know/care about the 11pm curfew, this was also coupled with drunk teenagers throwing up everywhere!

We also found there were young couples who enjoyed late night bbqs and screaming fits in the early hours! Luckily our children were exhausted and slept through most noise but we didn't and began to suffer sleep deprivation which spoiled our days.

We did complain about the late night parties and the reception staff's response was 'it was a private party and not our responsibility!'!!

Other reviews don't seem to experience the same problems so I guess as long as you are away from the main block and in a caravan, you'll be fine!

With regards to sights to see - best beach definitely Carnac, shopping in Auray. We followed the markets around which was always a good experience!

Room Tip: Stay away from the main block and avoid weekend all night parties

We stayed here in August and apart from the first three days of rain and a thunderstorm in the early hours...the rest of the holiday weather was lovely and hot. The campsite is very well kept and pretty. The swimming pools are great (not very heated ) as usual in French campsites .We stayed with Matthews, whos caravans in our opinion are in the best spot.Lots of space around them ,no direct caravans infront or behind ,but pay the extra for a Magnum or Lodge ;cause they have a bit more family space inside. The only drawback being that they are at the bottom of the campsite ,so quite a steep hill to the pool and other amenities(great for the buttocks) ,so if you struggle walking beware,However,if like us you thought ..great...eat what you like ...then walk it off then it was great!. There is a zip wire, archery, fishing lake, donkeys, and a horse riding school next to it. We took the children on a pony ride which is led by the parents ...you are on your own ,just following signs, only drawback was that i had a stubborn one who insisted on stopping to eat grass non stop! But the children enjoyed it ! The bar/restaurant served nice food and the staff were pleasant. It is as a previous visitor said a predominantly French campsite,But we quite like that. A visit to nearby Trinite Sur Mare is lovely ,a pretty harbour and nearby Bono very pretty. Overall, a lovely site and very well kept .

We went to this campsite in July 2012 - 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 9) and stayed in a Safari tent which was fantastic. We were really pleased to not have to put up our own tent and it was hosing down with rain when we arrived, so we literally backed the car right up to the opening of the tent and piled everything out into the dry!
The tent was large and spotless (it looked brand new) - comfy beds for 5 people, two ring stove, fridge, well equipped with pans and utensils, brushes and a bin. Table and chairs inside (metal chairs - cold on the behind!) and outdoor table and chairs outside and two lounger chairs and a drying rack.
The campsite is very well kept and hardly had any Brits there - mostly French and the occasional German and Dutch family. The pools are lovely but sadly when we were there the weather was quite chilly and wet, so the outdoor ones were cold and even our hardy, Cornwall-swimming kids couldn't last long in them. The indoor pool was beautiful but, due to the weather, was packed out - with long queues fro the one indoor slide.
The shop was very useful and had good morning croissants etc.
We did eat at the restaurant on site - it had galettes, crepes, pizza, pasta which were fine. The service was a bit brusque and we preferred the creperie in Baden in the village square which was superb.
One of the highlights of the campsite for our family was playing boules/petanque alongside the French experts. There was a tournament on one night which was a good spectator event! Our kids didn't want to do the activities on site, but there is also horse riding and zip wiring to be done. They just enjoyed cycling round and using the playground.
From the site we went on a couple of lovely family cycle rides. Even ended up on a family oyster tasting outing on one trip which was a "proper" French experience.
We wanted to do some sailing on our holiday, but not a whole week's course and found that the local schools in Baden and Lamor-Baden only do 5 day courses. We went to Sene on one day to the fantastic sailing school there (some hastily rustled up O'Level French required to book this) and hired a catamaran and my son had a lesson in an Optimist.
If it had been quite a few degrees warmer, this would have been a perfect holiday!

We have stayed here as a family (2 adults, 1 child, 2 teenagers) several years now for whitsun week and I was surprised to see it hasn't had a single review yet, which has made me write this review for future visitors!

We booked through Keycamp and stayed in a mobile home, very nice inside, main bedroom with en suite, 2 twin rooms (one a bunkbed), bathroom (no bath), well equipped kitchen, large table for mealtimes and a great BBQ! (we even bought one when we got home) plus a spacy little garden area (we set up a badminton court). sometimes it did get cold at night, but there is blankets.

Mane Guernehue is situated in a quiet village, so a car is neccessary! theres a nearby Carrefour supermarket (2 mins in the car, about a 30 min walk) also a lovely bakery in town opened nice and early and took me about 10 mins to get to (jogging). We spent most of our time visiting nearby towns, Auray being a personal favourite for its shops and lovely pictureque harbour, also the bridge through Bono gives you a very good view onto the town and harbour.

On site however they have a 3 fishing lakes/ponds which are very nice to just walk around, lots of grassy areas kids can mess on too, along with a bouncy castle and playground. A small arcade and gym are also avaliable. there is 3 pools in total one of which has a gradient and a gentle current (outdoor), one a training rectangular pool (outdoor), and also a square indoor pool and paddle area. There is 7 slides in total, 6 of them are outdoor, which are so much fun, the kids were well entertained!

Overlooking the pool is a cafe/restaurant, reasonably priced, and good food too. There is also a shop on site which sells fresh pastries and baguettes from 9am. it also sells many other essentials. Wifi is avaliable for a small charge.
Reception is always busy, so you might be waiting a while to talk to someone, but they are friendly and useful.

hope you have a good time!
