The best place to eat in Briare. Great menu and everything was delicious. Normal pricing and got in pretty late so service was kind of slow but highly recommended

Had the pleasure of dining at this delightful restaurant in Briare last sunday. Totally full but still great service and the food was just heavenly! Thank you for a memorable lunch in a beautiful part of the world.

“Great place to eat!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to us by an individual who lived on a barge. He said that was where the locals eat and that we would not be disappointed. He was correct, it was very good and merited a return visit several days later. I particularly liked the fact that the menu changed to reflect what was freshly available. I would highly recommend this restaurant, awesome food/taste at reasonable prices.

“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

Great dinner on the terrace overlooking the canal on a warm September evening. Impeccable food and service exemplary. We'd asked for a taxi to be booked to take us home afterwards, but the restaurant were unable to secure one. In a perfect ending to the evening, the chef drove us home himself, whilst telling us all about his restaurant and his culinary adventures in other kitchens around the world. Over and above 5* service!

“Lovely restaurant with good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

We made a reservation for a group of ten to dine here. Due to the large size of our group, they asked us to select one menu. They were willing and able to accomodate the dietary restrictions (i.e. gluten-free, no meat, no poultry) of various members of our group with a menu of a salad, a fish dish, and a cheese course.

We were seated on the patio, which was quite nice. Service was attentive, and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Among our group we ordered both red and rose wines available by the pitcher and all were good.

As others have noted, this is a popular restaurant and it did fill up, so plan on making a reservation.
