For a birthday treat we booked the Saint Jacques for lunch. This turned out to be a serious meal for the educated palate.
The setting is delightful on the shady terrace. The gardens awash with the colour of geraniums and roses.
We opted for the set lunch for €27- starter, main, dessert, coffee including an aperitif and 2 glasses of Bergerac each.
Every course was a delight with ample portions beautifully presented. The service both attentive and discreet. I really cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Tremendous value for the money. No Michelin star but certainly worthy of one without the pretentious nonsense of Nouvelle cuisine. We will be returning soon for dinner and staying the night in one of their reasonably priced rooms.
