Restaurant with rooms. Top class restaurant with decent, simple and spotless bedrooms. We had the equivalent of the menu du jour (menu apres la balade from memory) for €27 each - absolutely delicious and on a par with top rated restaurants but without the unnecessary waiters etc. Great breakfast (for France) too. And very friendly service from the family who've owned it for seven generations. Definitely a super base for exploring that part of the Pyrenees.

First impression, it was not the Ritz but better than the Ritz were the owners, John Pierre Saint-Martin and Franciose. John Pierre an award winning chef cooked wonderful delights everyday and Franciose was a delightful lady making sure we were happy with our stay. The time of year had flowers blooming and it was sooo beautiful. My room was clean as could be, we had wifi and everything was as nice as you could desire. The area is wonderful, Lourdes is 30 minutes away and as a Baptist, I could feel the presence of God, it is a marvelous place to visit!! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone sophisticated enough to enjoy True French Cuisine and hospitality. I have been coming here for a couple of years, twice in 09 and will return in May of 2010. There isn't a McDonalds or the like close to here, so if you or your kids have to have McDonalds type food, you might want to seek another place to sleep and dine.

The restaurant is just amazing. 10 out of 10. Really beautiful French food.

The hotel itself is very ordinary, but clean and comfortable while the location in St Savin is beautiful. From just in front of the hotel is one of the most amazing views in France. The village is very historic and pretty, well worth a visit.

Saint Savin is a lovely village, well worth visiting. This hotel and restaurant is located right in the centre which is a problem if you are in one of the standard or "comfort" rooms as these overlook the main street which seems to see more than its fair share of heavy lorries. The room could have done with a really good clean. Fitments were of very average quality with a few added extras such as internet access point (to qualify for 3*).

The restaurant is popular at lunchtime, but the cuisine is very, very rich and out of step with much of the cooking in France these days.

Really needs some care and attention to bring it up to standard.

This hotel is no where near Lourdes so either you have to taxi (about 40 Euro) or one of the owners of the hotel are willing to pick you up, depending upon your arrival time. The hotel is in a tiny village and has very nice views of the mountains from the rooms. However I would class it similar to a Best Western in US standards and if visiting Lourdes would recommend staying in the village unless you have a rental car.
