Our club spent a week with Mark & Niamh. We were well looked after throughout the week. All our individual dietary requirements were covered, & food was excellent throughout.

There are facilities for safe bike storage, self service laundry, & tools etc, so everything is covered.

After each day there were plenty of cakes, biscuits & drinks to keep us going until the evening meal.

Definitely worth a few days for some of the major Pyrenean ascents.

Thanks for the very positive review Ian. It was great to meet you all and pleasure to host your club at the lodge - a great group of people! You guys certainly got some great cycling in and with the grand finale of driving over to Luchon to do Superbagnéres and Peyresourde - definitely a great end to your trip! Look forward to welcoming you all back again sometime. All the best Niamh & Mark

A wonderful, clean, friendly place to base a cycling trip from. The hosts are very nice and great cooks--they even worked around my gluten allergy. The climbs and terrain from St Savin reads like a history book of Tour de France routes. Lots of fellow cyclists to trade stores with and talk shop, but it is the hosts that make this a special place. I will return.

Looking for a good place to stay for some cycling in the Pyrenees? Stop right here as you won’t find anything better.
Just some of the reasons:
- Location, location, location. This is the ideal starting point for a bunch of legendary Pyrenees climbs. No need to take the car, you can easily fill 4 days with 3 climbs each day.
- Comfort. The rooms are large and clean, with enough storage space, and a nice bathroom.
- Food. If you’re afraid of not having enough after a hard day of cycling, think twice. Moreover, it’s absolutely delicious! Starter, main dish and dessert will blow you away.
- Atmosphere. Mark and Niamh manage to make you feel at home. As simple but as important as that.

Thanks so much for taking to time to review the lodge on Trip Advisor & Facebook Ruben. It was so nice to meet you guys and a pleasure to have your company round the lodge - great chat & laughter round the dinner table! You certainly deserved your 3 course meal with the amount of cols you packed into your day - chapeau! We're delighted you guys enjoyed the space at the lodge and look forward to welcoming you all again sometime in the future. All the best Niamh & Mark.

Excellent accommodation, food, hosts and easy access to some fantastic cycling - what more could you want!

Stayed here with a friend for 3 nights and we are very pleased we choose the Pyrenees Cycling Lodge.

We are two keen cyclists and it has everything thing you need - a hearty breakfast, a delicious and copious evening meal shared with other guests to swap stories with and a comfy room to retire to at the end of the day.

On top of this Niamh and Mark are great hosts and a wealth of information to make the most of your stay here.

We enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year and will be bringing 3 extra friends.

Thanks so much for the review Jonathon. It was great to meet Gary & yourself and so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the lodge - there was certainly lots of laughter and chat at the table! Plus the weather was great - a perfect time of year to visit. Thanks for recruiting more folk for next year and look forward to welcoming you back again. All the best Niamh & Mark.

I don’t know what was harder. Crawling up Hautacam in 33 degree heat or dragging ourselves away from the lodge for the airport with the aroma of something utterly delicious wafting from the kitchen, knowing we won’t be there to tuck in tonight.

We spent three amazing days feasting on ‘beyond categorisation’ climbs like Luz Ardiden, Cauterets and the Col de Peyresourde fuelled by ‘beyond categorisation’ vegetable lasagne, chicken chausseur and pulled pork. All home-made by Niamh and Mark.

The perfect hosts, they thought of everything. Even La Vuelta highlights with dinner. We’ll definitely be returning to this comfortable, friendly haven with spectacular views of the ancient Abbey and mountains beyond. We have unfinished business with Superbagneres.

And the blackberry crumble.

Thanks for the great review Jeremy and Jonathon. It was a pleasure to meet and host you guys at the lodge and delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Hautacam's a beast in normal weather so hats for doing that on your last morning and with gravel!. Glad to hear you'll be back to tackle Superbagneres. Look forward to seeing you both again. All the best Niamh & Mark.
