Went to this little creperie on Friday evening which was our last night in the Loire area.

The gallettes were delicious, the salad fresh and plentiful and the sweet crepes were lovely too. The waitress was very sweet and a lady who I assumed to be the owner came to check that everything was okay with our food.

It's right by the Loire so a nice view and afterwards, great to have a wander around Montsoreau on a sunny evening.

They only open from 12-2pm and 7-9pm and close for a couple of days a week (can't remember the days though, sorry).

Thoroughly recommend this place. Very clean inside too.

We wanted a light supper so decided to try this small creperie close to the Chateau at Montsoreau. The waitress was very friendly and let us decide where we wanted to sit. We chose a small table at the back, which gave us both a wonderful view of The Loire river, through the open door. The menu is small, gallets, crepes and salads. We both chose gallets which were really fresh and came with a nice side salad. The crepes we had for dessert were superb. They have a good set menu for lunch for 13 euros, which includes a glass of cider. Excellent place to go and enjoy fresh, healthy food.

Simple crepe cuisine. At the base of the chateau and along the
loire river. Beautiful view and inexpensive crepe cuisine.

This was a rally good Breton style creperie, complete with the buckwheat pancakes (ble noir), drinkable table wine, lovely ice creams and sweet pancakes - really very little to complain about at all. Above all, the slads were superb! The service was good, but at times a little slow - the place was usually packed out and there are only two people working. We went there four times in the week and were very well treated. A good place to eat well and cheaply. Small and a little noisy when full and outside is fine - great views of the Loire but right on the main though road so not quiet!

We were touring the region and had decided to self-cater for the majority of our stay as my partner, a vegetarian, had previously poor experiences of being catered for in France. During our tour of the region and on route to Chinon we stopped off in Montsoreau, a small village situated on the Loire, and tentatively peered at the menu attached to the window of this simple yet cosy little bistro and stepped in. And what a find it was. The bistro is essentially a creperie and serves up a great variety of wholemeal savoury crepes that cater for all diets. My partner devoured a caramelised onion, cheese and mushroom crepe and I had opted for the smoked duck salad, which was fabulous and I can easily say one of the best salads I have eaten in a restaurant. The portions are big and the house red is superb; rich and velvety and a perfect accompaniment for the meal. We shared a sweet crepe for dessert and the whole meal cost less than 40 euros, which was fantastic value. The waitress was very pleasant and the service excellent. She spoke some English although a use of French would be useful to interpret the menu otherwise do take a menu reader book with you as there are dishes that contain nuts, which would be hazardous for those with allergies. Walk off the meal by taking a little tour around the village including the chateau situated just a hundred yards away from the restaurant.
