Stayed there during business trip. If you are traveling by car, the place is just perfect for you. The location is close both to Aix en Provence and both not too far from the see shore. The house is surrounded trees, so it feels like in forest. The mountant and forst landscapes around are gorgeous.
Regarding the hotel itself. You have huge parking area inside, that can contain much more than number of rooms. The hotel is very clean and well sustained. The room I occupied was the single room with shared toilet (not looks like problem, since it very close). The room has shower room. It is very well designed and decorations are very nice. The breakfast includes just baked baguettes (the best I ever had), cheeses, ham, juice, homemade confitures and many kinds of granula and fresh or dried fruits. Also there the best in the market coffee and tea makers. But what the really makes it unforgettable, are the family of hotel owners. They made their best to help with any of my requests and wishes. Helped with advises and lift to airport. Besides that they are very nice and kind people. I will come back here ,for sure, with my family.

We had a wonderful time at Le Moulin des Forges. We initially booked three days but decided to stay longer. The estate and rooms are beautiful. Nice garden, swimming pool, beautiful views and secure parking. The owners, Philippe and Mireille, are perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. The location is close to Aix en Provence and very central to explore the region. We got several good tips what to visit and he lent us maps. Philippe speaks excellent English. Very good breakfast with fresh fruit, bread, croissants, yoghurt, serials, good coffee and juice, etc. Further on Sunday we were offered to have dinner at the place, since most restaurants were closed.
This B&B really gives you the feeling of being home and we are looking forward to come back soon.

We spent a wonderful 4 days with Philippe and Mireille in May - what a great house and such relaxing surroundings. The breakfasts were especially delicious with great coffee and lots of fresh fruit as well as croissants and baguette. Philippe was so helpful in our decisions about what we were wanting to visit and leant us maps and guide books too. The surroundings are beautiful and the rooms extremely comfortable - everything has been so carefully thought about and you feel very pampered. We loved it so much that we are returning for a longer stay in a few months - can't wait!

This property 15km east of Aix en Provence and near Mont St. Victoire is a gem with outgoing hosts who didn't miss any opportunity to make our four day visit memorable. The home was specifically designed and built to be a chamber d'hote so comfort is profound. Rooms are ample by French standards with each having private shower and lavatory; a pair of WCs are down the hall. Breakfasts plentiful with fresh baked croissants, fruit, cereals, and breads. We also reserved our evening meals here ordering from the menu the first night and finding the portions a bit larger then we needed. Subsequent evenings, our hosts Phillip and Mirielle custom designed menus to suit our appetites. Gourmet quality!!!! Phillip aided us in planning day trips and the mandatory Saturday morning visit to the Aix markets. The grounds include a corral with miniature burros, beautiful gardens and the swimming pool that was a welcome respite each evening. I am sure we will find a reason to return!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Green room that has a small balcony and gorgeous vista of Fuveau and its cathedral.

After spending weeks travelling around Europe we couldn't have asked for a nicer and more comfortable place to stay. Philippe and Mireille were the perfect hosts and were more than accommodating with making us feel comfortable. We stayed in the windmill which I would also highly recommend.

How we found Le Moulin in the first place is a story unto itself, but suffice it to say that things happen for a reason, I have concluded. How lucky were we to have stumbled upon this place! This priceless B&B is a gracious and relaxing oasis in the gently hilly Fuveau area with easy access to the best of Provence. It was our staging area for daily excursions, but honestly, I would have been content to stay on property and just soak in the warmth of the sun, the smell of the country and relax. Next time... What a lovely gem we found! Determined to give my children a taste of the French lifestyle versus a hotel stay, this family-oriented B&B was all that I had hoped for and more. Our family of four (two children) stayed 4 nights and were given every creature comfort. The rooms were beautiful and well-appointed, the view from the rear of the house incredibly picturesque, and the delicious indoor/outdoor breakfasts were fresh, varied, hearty, and the tables beautifully set. The tea machine is the bomb! If you are into "green" and sustainable technologies on the domestic front, Philippe has incorporated a multitude of them on this property with great success. All of the creature comforts aside, though, it was the hospitality we will never forget. Philippe was utterly devoted to every detail of our daily excursions, providing both local knowledge, enthusiasm, private parking access to one of our destinations and fantastic maps and travel logistics so we could find our way to and fro. While I spoke French well enough, my family did not, and Philippe has more than polished his English, which made conversation infinitely less challenging for my husband. We felt doted on from the moment we arrived as did our girls. Mireille works her own magic, but you'll have to go there to find out how! :) We cannot say enough about this wonderful find, except that it has a very special "je ne sais quoi" about it - an attention to the smallest detail; a desire to meet every whim and need of the guest; a genuine warmth and gift for stimulating conversation and both Mireille and Philippe are a wealth of information. I'm not sure what else a traveller could ask for - professionally run with a touch of personal that makes you wonder whether you are family or a paying guest.

Room Tip: I am quite partial to the "Green Room" with its lovely balcony and view of the gardens...

I would like to say that is place was most welcoming and beautiful, wonderful grounds a lovely pool sadly didn't get to go in as it wasn't quite warm enough, the wind was the problem but you would say that when they built the windmill it was in the right place. The south of France has a crazy wind called the minstrel not sure of the spelling but it is quite strong so be warned.
This place how ever was well done and very cutie the had a lovely breakfast every morning and Phillip the host was very helpful and friendly. I had always wanted to try frogs legs being in France but because they were not in season he kindly sort some out and I was able to enjoy there yummy taste. The meal that we had was wonderful and the portions large so I hope you have a large stomach. They do not alway do dinner but a special request they did. Please go to this place as it woderful and I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Windmill great for a couple maybe on honeymoon but the rooms in the main house excellent ask for the...
