The castle is more impressive from the outside than the inside. It looks very nice at night time also. There isn't that much to see, because some parts of the castle are in a poor shape. The good news is that restoration works are underway. Can't wait to see it after the restoration is finished.

If you've got kids or if you don't, this impressive castle is worth the visit. 20 RON entry fee for adults 5 for kids/elderly and 5 photo tax. Best time to go is on Sunday morning just after it opens. There is some limited parking on site The castle has been partially restored and as of this writing there is still scaffolding on the west side. The castle itself has a long storied history but with the interior decay you only get a bare hint at it. The legend of the well is interesting and mimics a story told at other places in Romania. The lower grounds with stream running through it offer other vantage points for photos.

Corvin Castle is an impressive edifice on a hill overlooking Hunedoara. Given its long and storied history, it is definitely a 'must see' if in the area. There has been some recent efforts to restore portions of the castle or at least reduce the rate of decay. Most of the furnishings disappeared after the Communists took control of Romania. Fortunately, a small number of furnishings have been retrieved to provide a sense of previous glory.

A true historical site and a lovely experience. Loved the oldest part of the country. Don't forget to read the legend of the fountain.

The name is Corvinilor Castle and is amazing. The oldest part of the castle dates from the XIV-XVth century. It comprises 2 rooms and 1 staircase. The rest is "castle grounds" but the towers are amazing.
Loved the castle. Make sure to visit during low season though.
