We visited the museum as it was quoted as something different, and different it was.
The museum and it's surroundings are picturesque but what really made the visit worthwhile was the personal touches afforded to us by the owner George. From the interesting tour of the doll collection to the demonstration of doll making, George's passion for the subject shone through. Whilst enjoying a coffee, samples of home grown fruit arrived leading to an impromptu tour of his banana plants which made the trip complete.
It's a remarkable place when you consider he built and renovated the existing buildings himself and with his plans for the future, we will definitely visit again.
