The stay was pleasant. I know the hotel and in my opinion the renovation of the rooms was a success. Unfortunately, in this hotel too, they allow sun beds to be "reserved" early on.
Some food items from the evening buffet were either too salty or not completely cooked (chicken legs).

Very pleased with this hotel. Nice big clean rooms, lovely swimming pools, decent food, friendly helpful staff.
Puerto Naos itself though is a letdown - very small promenade, hardly any shops or amenities, the trips offered all included lots of walking excursions - some very difficult ones, horrible rocky black sand beach. The 1 hour journey from the airport is a bit of a nightmare too, if you don't like sheer drops, hairpin bends and very steep climbs.
The hotel a definite yes, the resort no.

We have stayed here many times, and I last reviewed this hotel in 2016, but last year it was closed for a good time for renovations, and it wasn´t just a lick of paint. The reception area had all new, very comfortable chairs and small tables and was much more inviting than before. the 2 main pools (1 heated) had both been enlarged and with new steps and handrails to make it easier to go in, the terrace resurfaced, and all the sunbeds and sombrillas renewed. Upstairs the rooms were all newly furnished, the bathrooms refitted, now having a waterfall shower (fabulous) instead of a bath but using all the floor space of where the bath was. The balcony also had new table and chairs.
The restaurant had not been changed much and the food was also much the same but, in general the refit was great and the price did not seem to have gone up so we were well pleased.

Room tip: we prefer the upper floors and book a sea view

The appartments do not meet the standards of today and don't give you value for money, after we payed for an upgrade to a hotelroom our stay was pleasant. The hotelroom was as it looked as on the pictures.

Room tip: Renovate or take down the appartments.
