Always comfortable special requests always acted on
Room comfortable road noise a bit high but had to have window open because of hot weather. Service friendly - even laughed at my jokes. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble

When you cannot afford the hotels in Cardiff, this budget hotel just outside does the job!
It's about a 35 minute bus ride into the city, but the buses are not that frequent...so plan carefully!
Returning to the hotel at the end of the night, treat yourself to a taxi - you can afford one on what you saved on the room rate.
Also, book early! Even though it's outside the city a bit, it's still in demand.

Room Tip: There's a bar on the ground floor but since you'll probably be availing of the facilities yo...

We pre-booked a family room for 2 nights - £87 - excellent value.
Our room was clean with comfortable beds, A fan was provided to keep us cool ( very warm outside and the windows are fitted with restrictors). The bathroom was clean and functional with both a hair& body wash and hand soap dispensers plus lovely fluffy towels. Wi-Fi is free for 30 mins daily- remember to log off if only online for a few minutes because if you don't your allotted free time will tick away - thereafter you have to purchase a voucher (I paid £3 for one day).
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We found this Premier Inn to be very peaceful and it's location was ideal for us - we were in Cardiff to take our 13 year old to Doctor Who Experience.

My only complaint would be with the breakfast in the Beefeater next door. We were tempted on our 2nd morning by the literature prominently displayed in our room promoting the breakfasts and a Kids Eat Free deal.
My OH and I ordered a Continental breakfast each and a child's breakfast. We were charged for them all! When I queried my bill I was told the free Kids breakfast was only available when a Full English breakfast was purchased, This was not clear on any menu or brochure I saw!
Also although our breakfast food was lovely - we were concerned by the cutlery and crockery. They had been poorly washed. Fruit , cereal, porridge were still sticking to several bowls and spoons and we had to have a good rummage in the stack of "clean" dishes to find properly washed items.
So lovely stay in the Premier and would return. But would probably find a cafe elsewhere for a cheaper breakfast.

The great thing about premier inns are you know exactly what your getting what ever part of the country you stay in and this hotel is no exception, the rooms are well maintained, the staff are always polite and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble.
I would happily recommend this hotel the only thing I would warn about is in the hot weather the rooms are very warm, they supply fans to circulate the air but they might want to look in to air con :) apart from that great hotels

Not been there for a year or so, but it was then up to Premier's highest standard and seems from recent reviews to have remained so {cf Daniel P's review.} The only thing to add is that (provided you can negotiate the Culverhouse Cross traffic complex( there is a large M and S out-of-town store nearby,

If you have Kids it is also on the road to Barry Island {beach, paddling etc.}

Room Tip: one at the rear is slightly preferable as they are away from the main road, though non if the rooms...

The staff couldn't have been more helpful! Especially the night receptionist who helped us on our choice of bars for our night out. Everybody was really friendly! The hotel is only 10 minutes outside Cardiff, about £14 fare so don't let this put you off.
