I was coming back from 3 Days in Chianti, and wanted a brief but good stop-by, remembering a very good lunch I had here a few years ago.
In the mean time , Capounto is not mentioned anymore in "Osterie d'Italia" SlowFood guide: never was an exclusion more unfair...
I had an excellent Tuscan cuisine ( fettunta, mushroom soup, fiorentina steak, red wine), but most of all the ATMOSPHERE is outstanding: the owner is a friendly fool who makes you feel at home.
Price is not cheap (35€), but it is well worth the food and the atmosphere.
