We are two families that stayed for ski vocation in the Medil hotel.
Everything was great: the room is clean, and comfortable, the staff is very nice, the meals are tasty and even well adapted for vegetarian. The spa is well equipped and after 6:30 even quiet. The hotel is situated in 5 min walking from the lift. Due to the fact that there is no ski in ski out possibility in Campitello, this hotel is the best choice for the ski vocation.

The hotel is good (rooms is okay, nice spa, breakfast is okay; dinner is good for the price). From the hotel it is a five minute walk to the gondola. At the end of the day you have to take the gondola to return to the hotel (last gondola departs at 5:30pm) or ski to Canazei and take a bus (taxi is limited and expensive).
The reason for the fourth bullet is that the hotels offers ski excursions for free. Grazie Daniele!

Stayed here for a ski week in Feb 2019. The hotel is lovely and staff are very helpful and friendly. Great amenities (loved the small pool and spa area). Meals were great too - plenty of choice and you will not go hungry! Location is great for the Col Rodella cable car but beware of (very) long queues up and down at peak times (we went at half term) - that was a bit of a surprise and there are limited other options for getting up the mountain other than a bus to another part of the sellaronda.

Stayed there between 12-19/01/2019 with another 7 friends.
The Pros:
1. The breakfast and the dinner were good. Nothing fancy, but we had everything we needed.
2. The place is clean.
3. The staff in a dining room are all friendly and nice.
The Cons:
1. The heater in all rooms supposed to turn on automatically when the temperature is below 22 degrees. But it doesn’t work... I’ve seen many guests complaining about that at the reception.
2. Check the bill carefully, you might be charged for something you never bought. My room was charged for using 4 bathrobes, we only had 2. Btw when taking those bathrobes me and all of my friends were told it’s free.

My family and I stayed at this so called 4 star hotel at the end of January, Let me start by stating that I have been working in the service and hospitality industry for over 20years included several 4 and 5 star international hotels.
When we arrived the hotel hall and lounge looked nice and the reception staff friendly, unfortunately from here it all went down hill, arrived in the room to find it smelly and damp, soon found the reason large black mould in the corner of the room(see photo), reception didn't apologize, simply said they were full and couldn't change our room, during dinner they cleaned the mould with bleach thus making the room stink of bleach, the kids bunk bed was a strange fold out sofabed, very cheap and uncomfortable.
The food in the restaurant was the worst food I have ever eaten in a 4 star hotel, I book 4 star hotels mainly as this give you a guarantee of high quality dining but not on this case, the chef put the same garnish on every plate for the whole week (slice of carrot and a sprig of parsley), no fresh milk at breakfast, same thing every day, powder based mash potatoes, dessert cream out of a spray can!!
Waiters were friendly and efficient even if the the restaurant manager asked us to leave on the first night at 9.30pm as they needed lay up for the next days breakfast service!
Ski room, too small, 1 small bench to service the whole hotel, Spa/wellness area, broken light bulb in the sauna held on with broken wire, the central ice feature never worked, they ran out of towels twice during our stay.
At the end of the holiday we put all these issues to the hotel Manager, he offered us a €25 bottle big wine and told us the the hotel was aimed at russian guests that perhaps have lower expectations!!
The hotel is not Family run but simple a managed business and you can tell the owners are not concerned with the hotel a simple money machine !!
There simply is nothing about this hotel that could get it 3 stars let alone 4!!
