Family of three (with 5 year old boy) stayed for a week during high season, overlapping "Settimana Biancha" in Italy. Hotel went from 30% occupancy to full during our stay, and the increase had no impact on service quality. Room was very comfortable and large. Meals are very relaxed and of excellent quality, but with a formal touch and very attentive service. Augustin, our waiter, had an impeccable style and made us feel like VIPs. The wine list is superb, with a great selection from Trentino, a region rich in excellent wines. The sala for aperatives and after dinner grappas is large and cozy--- lots of games to play. One night of the week has an aperative for the hotel with a candlelight dinner, a very relaxed and fun evening where you get to interact with the other guests. For Skiing: An easy propostion from the Salvan, with a locker downstairs, and a free skibus that stops directly in front of the hotel. Often Col Rodella Funivia is crowded, so taking the bus for "Penia" and stopping at Canazei's gondola can avoid the line and get you closer to hopping on the Sella Ronda. RENTAL CAR TIP === If you rent a diesel, and the temps are below -2C for a prolonged period --- either put in diesel when you arrive to the Mountain area, or an additive. Unfreezing the car cost 150EURO across the street. A small blemish on an otherwise wonderful time at the Salvan.

Room Tip: Suggest the suite rooms, we had our son of 5 and were very comfortable.

This is a lovely hotel with a familiar feel. The food was great throughout the week and the service was excellent with its kind staff. It offers a very good relations between price and quality. It has a great location just a few steps away from the skibus stop to go to col rodella.

We stayed here for a week with skiing and relaxation.
Very nice place for Marcialonga since it it close to the tracks for practise, and also practical for downhill too. The shutlebus stopp right outside and takes about 3 minutes to the lift.
The staff were helpfull, and both wineselections and bartender were good.
The full pension includes dinners that were good, local meals.
We had nice, large rooms, junior suites, which we had no complaints about.
The town itself was not so large, but had the basic stores to get food, wine, skirentals etc.
The skiingarea is fantastic, we really loved the Sellaronda, with easy skiing in Val Gardena and Alta Badia, as well as great expert skiing in Arabba and dont forget Marmolada with a gondola that goes 1000m straight up

My friends and me were staying at this Hotel for a week long ski vacation and had excellent experience.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the food was really delicious, featuring a fusion of Italian and Tirolean cousine, the service staff friendly and efficient and the health center (including sauna, hammam, jacousi and a small pool) just right, as it should be.
The ski room is well equipped (boot heaters and ski lockers) and is comfortably located. There is a large parking lot (a part of the property).
The hotel is comfortably located on the main road of Campitello di Fassa, with the Ski Bus stop just in front of the property - 5 mins and you are at the Col Rodella cabin !
Just some minor comments/wishes - bath in the room would really great (we had an excellent shower, but still), some more towels at the health center would help and so extending the WiFi to the hotel rooms (currently WiFi is available in the lobby area only for a minimal fee).

Bootom line - geat value for the money.

Thank you, Salvan !
