A fantastic family-run hotel in the Italian Dolomites and marketed at the motorbiking crowd who make up a significant number of the summer visitors to the region.
You expect good, personal service at a family-run hotel in a place where tourism is just about the only industry, and where competition is therefore hot.
But this hotel surpassed our expectations. Friendly welcome from the owner and an introduction to the facilities. Free garage parking for the bikes (cars stay outside!). High pressure jet wash for bikes. Repair area for bikes. Guided bike tours by one of the family.
The whole place is absolutely spotless and the rooms very comfortable. Service in the restaurant (most people book half-board) and the bar were excellent. Attentive, friendly, never felt rushed or ignored. Excellent wine cellar and advice from the family member responsible for it.
Small swimming pool and garden. Wonderful sauna and steam room with great showers. Excellent massage.
All in all an excellent hotel. And at a great price. Will definitely go again.
Just one small criticism: the food was a little bland. But given the price and the otherwise excellent service, it is not an issue. The food was good, but something a little more adventurous would have been nice.
