.....and that´s already a lot!!! Since am very sensitive to "the space" idea, aesthetics etc. Each detail is really nice and for those who like minimalism it´s a great hotel, with confort and even "sense of humour" in some of his choices. Love the lettering of the hotel for example.

But not everything is about beauty and i think that a hotel like this deserves a different kind of service. Staff were not unpleasant but they were only "ok". If a hotel tries to be special and different, there has to be an "inner mood" that fits the place. Maybe this is not a very specific critic and some readers won´t understand what am talking about. I just felt there were not any "personalized details" concerning the people working there, they were all quite detached from their work.

You don´t have wireless in your room so when people need to go to the internet, go to the reception with their own computers and the main hall can be quite crowded.

If you stay in one cube, you have silence and can sleep well, but if you stay in the main building you will wake up early with lots of noise around. We know cause we´ve stayed in 2 different rooms since the hotel was full. The cube was just perfect. Silence. Views and an exterior bath tub that was quite good to try with sunset.

Food is ok but too expensive for what it is.

Things need to be improved but overall a positive experience.

Worth the trip from anywhere in spain...... We travelled form Rioja, through wine country and arrived to Bardenas late in the afternoon - watching the sun setting over the pains with the wind farms in the distance was quite spectacular. Very quiet and private acocmodation - Rooms were modern and sparsely decoarted which suited our style, but might be too minimal for some. Outdoor bathtub filled quickly, but it was quite cold to sit out in.....Not a lot around the area, so don't some here expecting to do anyhting but relax!!!! Resuarant serves great food, and a good selection of wine. Would love to travel back here.....

the only reason to go there are:

- Food of the restaurant, asa well as breakfast, is really really good; it beats lots of options around the Navarra area.
- The Architecture is captivating, it excites and is well thought through, this excitement lasts somehow max 2 days (we stayed longer, trust me!)
The place has shortcomings, one is the noise you get at night via the steel doors from the hallway. Another is the location, which is just in no-where land, but i guess this is why we were there.

Can recommend, but max for a 2night stay.

I don't usually write reviews about hotels, but I have made an exception for the Aire de Bardenas. This is not really a hotel its more of an experience!

Set in the middle of the Bardenas Reales Nature Reserve, this hotel is something different. Its in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by wind turbines. The best description I could give is that it is like a luxurious moon base crossed with a art installation. Amazing rooms, especially if you book one with a private bath in your own private garden.

The staff were friendly and the bar did have good wine at affordable prices, My only criticism is that the breakfast was a little expensive for what we got.

I would say it was slightly above our budget but it was definitely worth it, this is something you will remember.

Enjoy!

WOW. I have been traveling in Europe for several months and this was my favorite hotel yet. Worth going out of your way to visit. Reminds me of being in Marfa TEXAS. wish I was there when the cherries were ripe.

the only reason i went to Tudela was for this hotel and it was well worth it. we stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved the peace, calm and serenity of the space.
the hotel is a short distance from the city and was great break after the hectic city life we encountered. all rooms are beautifully designed with great views and the attention to design was commendable.
we got a great deal which was why we could stay here and I couldn't be thankful enough.
The hotel was staffed with very pleasant and ever helpful people. And a bit of the english spoken here definitely added to our experience.

The down points - It would have helped if they spoke a little more english as we could not do a tour of the bardenas. the only guides they had were French or Spanish speaking.
the hotel is definitely a beautiful experience in itself though.
