“oh what a surprise!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

we had firstly gone to another establishment for a drink with the view of staying for dinner, after receiving a quite unsmiling reception we weren't too hopeful of finding anything decent in this small town.
How wrong we were, the Dangerous doesn't look anything special from the outside, but upon venturing inside this funky, slightly minimalist venue exuded warmth and character.
Genuinely friendly staff greeted us, service was swift, efficient but pleasant, they look like they enjoy their work.
The gourmet pizza list is all encompassing and the vegetarian burrito was superb, not to mention the fine selection of wine, we had a Maori Point Pinot, a very nice drop indeed.
Upon presentation of the bill l was surprised at how cheap it was and felt compelled to offer an ample tip.
We liked this place so much we went back the following evening, too bad the guy up the road doesn't realise what repeat business is about.

“Delicious pizza”

Loved their pizza especially the Funghilicious! The restaurant has a laid back atmosphere and I enjoyed sitting at the tables outside to watch the world go by.

“Great Pizza”

Nothing to dislike. Maybe they can accept credit cards from foreigners who may not be carrying cash or have a debit card.

“Good Food and Good prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

Needed a quick, no fuss refuel and the Dangerous Kitchen hit the spot. Tasty pizza and pasta served quickly, even though it was getting late (anything after 8 pm in South Island seems late!). Bill produced no unpleasant surprises.

“Pizza, Passion & best of Coffee in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Pizza & passion
What do we eat today? missed lunch, out to cinema tonight so at 4.30 Sue suggested a pizza & what an excellent choice, they advertised wood pizza oven so hopes were there, thin thin crusts, toppings as suggested or to your choice, I had a “henny penny” chicken & spicy apricot sauce, sensational, Sue a Margarita with added ham & mushroom, great salads on the side if you wished, good selection of wine, I just had to have a Riesling named after the village I was born in Wollaston, grown not 30k from here, cold & fresh, superb Sweets, great coffee, fantastic all served in the courtyard under the vines and kiwi tree, very friendly service, from all the staff, all done with passion & care, why can’t all pizza places be like this?
