It's situated right at the bottom of Kitanomine ski area. (However, the Kitanomine area is closed when we went end of Mar). Going to Furano Ski area is about 5 mins in car only, so wasn't bad for us at all!!!

We also went to Furano Prince hotel for onsen straight after our ski session. Expecting to pay around 1500yen per person for the onsen if not hotel guest. We chose to drive about 10mins to go to Furano Highland Hotel for onsen on the other day at about 800 yen per person.

We arrived past 9pm, but there was still a staff Hiro welcoming us and helping us on the luggage. The 2 bedroom apartment was simply perfect for the four of us.

This is the only place to stay when you are in Furano. Tim & Hiro are the BEST hosts you could have. If there is anything on in Furano they will let you know and always help out with anything you need. Always a smiling welcome when you come home.

Fresh Powder has the most awesome location. Walk out the door walk 100mt down the road and you are at the gondala or walk across the road and up the steps and you on on the ski hill. Short walk to some great japanese restaurants and the famous Furano Delice. If you want to go into town the bus stop is only 100mt away. Taxi's are always availabe at the gondala station.

We have now stayed at Fresh Powder Furano 3 Times now - we have stayed in the 2 Bedroom with Ski View Apartment (love this apartment) nothing better than coming home after a hard day boarding and then sitting have a beer looking out on the ski field. Studio Apartment with Fireplace - lovely & romantic. One bedroom suite with japanese soak bath, this one worried me as it was on the bottom floor right next to the drying room BUT we didn't hear any noise and it was actually nice and private.

All Apartments are very comfortable and roomy. Beds are comfy. English satellite channels on the tv.

Excellent Drying Room and ski & snowboard storage room. This building is also very secure (not that you need it in japan) and is only accessible to guests.

These units are well set up. Everything you need for a long stay.

We've been here a few times now and all agree that this is the ideal place to be on a skiing trip in Furano.
The apartments are clean, spacious, well configured, well-stocked and self-sufficient. A mini-kitchen with a complete range of cooking utensils is most welcome and whipping up a meal after a day on the slopes is always a highlight during our stay. A plus point is we travel light and bring the bare minimum of clothing as a washing machine/dryer will take care of the daily laundry.
Sleep was great be it cos of the bedding or the daily exertions on the slopes as all of us practically slept through without a care every night. Contrary to what some said, the soundproofing was pretty good as we did not hear anything during our stay even though the studio next door was occupied and the entire building was at full occupancy.
Location is good and though it is not ski-in, ski out, the slopes are approx. 20m or so across a small road and the ski-chairs are only a couple or so minutes away. For us, that is as good as a ski-in, ski-out.
A storage/dryer room downstairs will take care of all the skis/snowboards, ski suits, boots and other stuffs. All we needed to do at the end of each day was to remove all our wet and excess baggage and come back to a neat and tidy apartment, minus the bulky stuffs.
For those looking for ski and snow rentals, it is a breeze as Goodsports is just next door and they offer a generous discount especially for those putting up at Fresh Powder.
Most importantly and without a doubt, the biggest assets here are the hosts. Both Tim and Hiro San are helpful and forthcoming with their insights and information, the free tickets to the Kan Kan Mura night festival, the ride into town for groceries and all other queries pertaining to your what, where, why, when and whom.
As always, we find it a pleasure to be back here.
Looking for a place to stay in Furano be it summer or winter? Look no further.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great though the two studios do not have a view and face the wall of the building next door.

We have just stayed there from 13th December to 17th December. Thanks to Tim, who reserved ski liner tickets for us, we were able to arrive smoothly in Furano. Tim was very helpful throughout our whole stay. The three bedroom apartment is very well furnished with a lovely kitchen complete with cooking utensils, even small things like aluminum foil and cling wrap! Tim even brought us out to the Co op for some grcoeries. On the morning when we checked out, there was a very bad snow storm. The wind was extemely strong and snow was cutting into our faces. We had many luggages and did not know how to go up the jumbo taxi that Tim had booked for us. Hiro san braved the snow storm to carry our luggages up the taxi and stacked them nicely. He really went out of his way to help us. I would really like to take this opportunity to thank Hiro san and of course, Tim, for all the help they rendered during our trip. Choose this apartment and you are in safe hands.
