A very pleasant evening in a very welcoming environment. The food was excellent and what made it even better was the way it was presented with a detailed explanation showing lots of pride and enthusiasm to make us feel welcome and enjoy every single bite. Well done, will be back!

The food was good, but I’ll not die for it. Basically simple ingredients, tastefully cooked. The place was packed and loud, good service and explanation by the chef about his philosophy. 4 Pers. 3 course meal, 2 bottles of local Wine, Water and coffee, click € 170. Not worth for local food

Dear Sir I would first like to thank you for dinning with us and complementing us and wish to apologize for any shortfalls and discontent we caused.

Whilst I looked into 170 euro paid for four person I failed to find such bill with details you published As we Bill ...................28/29 Euro for a full dinner or Lunch consisting of 10/13 anti pasti selection with assaggi of Ravjoli or Rucola Salad dressed wit fresh local cheese local seasonal fruit and in house dressing as with mains we always serve between 2 to 3 meats or dishes as family service ...... in-house desert and kafe Malti are also included with the set price
One also should indicated what wines where drank as our premium local wines start from 18 to 26 euro and water you chose or drank was a well listed label and what qty was drank

Once again I Apologize if you felt you where over charged and our local produce not worthy of 28 euro per person ....... compared to Fillet Steak which traveled across the world to be charge at an average of 25 euro for a portion lets leave others to comment on local produce

I Kindly invite you to dine with us free of charge with your choice of beverage to discuss further the subject of what our land rewards us with and great selection.
I hope that we meet up once again and you continue to fly Maltese flag to Reflect The logo and your reviewer name you presented
An other bill reflecting around 170 euro was for six persons which might be more realistic within our billing averages

A real treasure. Superb host and fantastic real food atmosphere is spot on. Just relax and let the food happen and the evening will be memorable for all the right reasons. Unhurried and relaxed. Loved it.

Well done to Donald and the team at tal-Petut for breaking the mould of restaurant eating with a fresh concept of seasonal, fresh, all natural, what I nearly expected him to call "RealFood". The passion for the food shines through everything served. Even better, it was all authentic Maltese dishes carefully crafted according to ancient tradition.

The essential idea is you rock up and Donald serves you what food he has been cooking. Prides himself on not having fryers, microwaves or supermarket preserves. Greens and herbs from his own garden. And there is no wine list as he will simply tell you what will go with your meal, and give you a few carefully selected ones off the top of his head for you to choose from.

The ambience is a carefully restored Maltese "casa bottega", the entertainment is, of course, Donald, and the food is tasty, fresh, authentic and clearly made with love.

The food was superb! Add Donald, the owner, to the equation and you have an experience not to be missed whilst you are in Malta. 5 stars!
