Cafe du brasil, despite the name, doesn't have any Brazilian food.
It is in Birgu (a.k.a. Vittoriosa) main square: Misrah Ir-Rebha. It serves huge portions of salads, sandwichs but also some main course.
I took Maltese Bruschetta (Tomato, Onion, Capers and Olives) as a starter. I thought it was a small one and I've got a big plate with four of them and some potato chips. Ingredients were fresh and bread was well grilled and crispy but they used too much Balsamic Vinegar sauce, killing a bit the taste. Then I took Octopus. Maybe non so tasty and too much cooked, anyhow, even in this case the portion was big, including a salad (same ingredients of Bruschetta) and French Fries. At the end not too bad but not exciting too.
One argument in favor of cafè is friendliness of the waiters.
