We went to the Aamori for 11 days... And we will resume by telling you the following; EVERYTHING was perfect, the rooms, the private beach, the pool, the view, the sound of the wave's, the staff. So if you planning going to St-Agustinillo....don't mist this place...and a special thank's to the owner Patricia!!!

A Beautiful Surprise

We were staying next door, eating anywhere in town at the many restaurants. Someone told us that the food at Casa Aamori was really good so we decided to try it. As we walked into this beautiful hotel we found ourselves gasping with amazement, beauty jumping from everywhere. Each path towards the restaurant, each detail on the walls, the gorgeous pool, palm trees, the whole set-up was so attractive and inviting. That was it for us and food the rest of the trip. We went to Casa Aamori for every meal and found each bite delicious. From the luscious Mexican breakfast with an elegant twist: eggs with 3 sauces, local yogurt with fresh and sweet fruit and local amaranth and honey to lunch and dinner, spectacularly prepared by the chefs: all the freshest sea foods that included conch ceviche on a half coconut, red snapper with tender vegetables steamed to the perfect tenderness, shrimp on top of papaya with a special hot sauce.... All prepared specially for us in that moment while we were listening to great music, surrounded by palm trees, beautiful view of the beach and the grounds of this very special hotel all around you. And when we saw the rooms we were sorry we had paid our hotel in advanced and couldn't just move there . . . oh well! The atmosphere was the most special and the owners Patricia and Agustin the most welcoming hosts who treated us so specially from the beginning, a delightful experience that made our trip so special. We can't wait to stay at Casa Aamori next time!

We went to Aamori Hotel for 5 nights stay as we decided to indulge ourselves after not being able to take the vacation as a family for the longest. Needles, to say it was a very special trip for all of us. I have ventured out for the unknown destination and chosen this hotel trusting on the reviews and pictures. Although I have been nervous if this hotel meets my expectations, from the minute I walked in the doors of Casa Aamori, I felt it is truly a place with the soul. I am always looking for the hotel with the character and attitude and Casa Aamori is a very special and charming place which is simply put - paradise on the earth. The design is very thoughtful and tastefully decorated. We had two rooms and both of them were perfectly equipted, with great spaces and fascinating decor. Kudos goes to the owners who put their heart in creating this aesthetic design. Needles to add, the ocean, nature and beauty of this place are superb. I am myself in a Hotel business and I know how important are location, design, room facilities, amenities etc to the travelers but what truly sets one hotel apart from the other is simple the people there. The owner Patricia is extremely hospitable, friendly, attentive and at the same time very professional. The signature of the Hotel is the Chef Jose who went extra mile at every opportunity to make our stay memorable in every way. He cooked for us every dinner and it always came wonderfully made with the best combination of taste from the local ingredients. Generally, all the staff provided us personal customer service. I can see this Hotel will go far and will certainly become a favorite place for many travelers.
Thank you all for making our stay memorable and so special. Having said above, without the people there it would not be the same.

In terms of location it is certainly paradise in earth, the hotel facilities are excellent in every single way. The Chef is a 5 stars plus! Every breakfast, lunch and dinner surprised us. The staff was kind and treated us well. Nevertheless, we recommend you review your bills as you may be charged for something you did not consume.

Unfortunately in our experience, we cannot say the same of Patricia (owner). To start with she showed no respect for her staff. She overcharged us a couple of times and was upset when we review the charges. The last day of our stay, during check out, we complained about the Christmas dinner as the menu presented (included octopus and lobster) was not what we were offered (no octopus nor lobster). She said it was because of weather conditions and that in any case (for our surprise) that the amount of lobster was going to be "minimal" because the lobster was very expensive for the price she set for the dinner. She called the chef and assistant to discuss the charges with us and just left without providing us with an invoice for the stay and other charges!

Again, the staff showed up and apologized for the situation.

If you are the type who wants to get away - "really- get away" Casa Aamori is the place ! Rustic yet fully equipped - The hotel is beautiful, built by the kindest & most hospitable couple residing there. Each room is a work of art & travel inspirations of the owners themselves . The food is elegant yet has local flavor given that the chef/cooks are local. San Augutinillo is a real secret & Casa Aamori is a gem. Best in the 50+ km radius .The beach & pool are equally beautiful ....sunset from san augutinillo & the landscape is a must to experience !

Its an amazing boutique hotel in a place that could be only called paradise, best place to go for a romantic get away, service is awesome and people in San Agustinillo are adorable. Around Oaxaca there are many activities to do, from surfing to just laying under the sun and enjoy the beauties of the beach, San Agustinillo is a rustic place and it doesnt have the feeing on a touristic place, so no people selling you stuff or conning you only relax and pleasure.

We had been travelling in Mexico for 3 weeks by the time we arrived San Agustinillo. It was early January 2012 and we didn't have a hotel booking. We were not enjoying our stay in one of the hotels there, unfortunately I don't remember the name of the hotel, so we were looking for something better. Casa Aamori was not open to guests yet at that time, but rooms were ready and thanks to the owner, Particia, she agreed to give us a room. We were stunned about the good quality of the hotel, great anterior design and luxury we lived in. We stayed there for nine days and really enjoyed the stay.. All the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and special (African, Brazilian, Indian room etc). There's also a small pool, private beach area and a tasteful shop. It was really above expectations!
